Olancha Mobil Mart

When you're towing a trailer and running low on gas, nothing sucks worse than a busy gas station with hairpin turns on small lots. This gas station has none of that-- plenty of space to navigate for even the most asinine motorists who couldn't navigate an empty parking lot in a Ford Festiva...The gas station bears the rural "you need it/we got it" mark up, but really, you're only going to drop an extra 20¢ a gallon here, compared to station prices from Lone Pine to Bishop. This is also your last stop heading south for a while, so clean restrooms and the usual gas station mini-mart fare are found here. Across the street from a popular jerky joint with a cult-following, we duck in here on almost every tripto the Eastern Sierras. Might as well stop in, especially if you're southbound.

About 95 degrees outside and about 110 inside - shouldn't they have air conditioning? I'm hoping for the sake of the staff that it was just broken during our visit and not a usual occurrence. Most often this is a restroom stop on the way to or back from Mammoth. With a purchase of snacks and water (a must for any road trip). The snacks as well as the beverages seem to be higher in price at this market but I'm sure that's due to the fact that they have a captive audience with being the only stop for many miles. The increase isn't drastic but it is noticeable. The store itself is super clean, the bathrooms can be cleaner however. They are also tiny inside which makes it hard to maneuver especially when there is a line of ladies waiting to use the two stales. Great souvenir collection if you are into that sort of thing but expect to pay a pretty penny for it! Some of the items were in the 30 dollar range which for a cheapo souvenir is quite high.

Very clean, well-stocked store with a lot of variety and fair prices. Restroom was very clean, especially for a gas station convenience store! Just wouldn't buy gas here at their prices unless I had to, personally, but it's understandable/fair based on the remote location. Definitely worth a quick snack/drink stop!

So many bugs here it's crazy and the little mart is expensive but I guess it goes with it being the only little gas station on the middle of no where. Made me feel really uncomfortable stopping there like three guys with underwear walking around stretching them selves out right there... Super hillbilly right there..... If it wasn't for me needing gas I wouldn't have stopped.

The women's bathroom had not one, BUT TWO stalls, clean enough bathrooms, and an intense and effective air hand dryer. Fantastic selection of local craft beers, but no milk for the little cereal packs, which is a damn shame. The coffee station did have half and half, but that would have been a little much with the cereal.

I needed gas and they helped me. Located in a town that has Indian cafes and the Crystal Geyser spring water HQ north of this station on 395.They have food and drink for sale there. and rest rooms inside the station. Just a place to get out of the HEAT!!

Standard gas station. I don't specifically remember this place so I obviously got gas with no problems, probably used the restroom and didn't get mugged. So ya win, win.

Bathrooms are open, snacks a little stale, got some candy and it was a little stiff!!

Beware of this gas station! I go and fill up and it's not filling up but shows the $0.00. A worker came out and said that they weren't working. Oh well went to Lone pine to get gas that was 20 miles away. An hour later I get a fraud alert from chase that they stopped a $100 transaction at Olancha. Chase noticed it! Don't stop here!! It's the only place that I stopped by on my road trip just for me to have my card canceled in the very beginning. Good thing I have cash on me because if not I would of been screwed!

Driving to Mammoth favorite to station stop. They carry a huge amount of different jerkies and snacks. Bathroom always clean. Staff is helpful. Delis even good for being out here lol.
