So many good things to say about our experience at this wonderful restaurant!!My wife and I were staying in Three Rivers, going to the neighboring National Parks for 4 days. We came across Ol Buckaroo off a recommendation by our AirBnB Host. It was so good we came in TWICE for dinner on different days during our stay. I'll highlight both meals I had.But first, the service was great. Both times we came in the restaurant wasn't terribly busy (around 5 PM on weekdays) and we were seated right away. Keep in mind by 6ish/6:30 loads of customers were coming in. The restaurants is cute and small inside with maybe 10-12 tables, but a ton of outdoor seating with mist-fans. We decided to stay inside both times. Our servers who take care of us on both days were attentive and kind, getting us everything we needed quickly and constantly checking on us. Regarding the food: 1st night I ordered the "Pesto Pasta with chicken"--Spaghetti with a creamy basil pesto sauce. To drink I ordered their house-made soda--soda with Watermelon flavoring (yum). You get a large portion of delicious spaghetti (definitely your money's worth) soaked in pesto sauce. The chicken was tender and moist. It was a perfect, carb-filled meal following a long day of hiking. The soda was also tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this dish to anyone coming in with some big-time hunger. The 2nd visit I ordered the "Buckaroo Burger:"--a durham ranch beef patty, American Cheese, lettuce, tomato and Buckaroo sauce. I had a side of fries and to drink, the "Pims Cup:" Sparkling Water, lemon, cucumber, and fruit garnish. On the menu the drink is described as, "slightly sweet and refreshing with a hint of anise flavor," perfectly described and true. The burger was good (maybe not as good as the Pesto Pasta I had a couple nights before, but good). It was everything a good burger should be! Ol Buckaroo contributed to our amazing stay and vacation and we hope to come back one day. We'll definitely be recommending to any of our friends and family who ever plan to go to Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks. What a gem.

I ate here after spending the day at sequoia national park, and wow it really hit the spot!! I came in a party of 6, and everyone really loved their food and the service was friendly and welcoming. The inside decor was cute, but to be honest with you, the patio is really just peak ambiance. We didn't sit outside because it was too cold, but I would definitely recommend sitting outside if you can! The outside patio has string lights, and is overlooking the river. The sound of the river is so relaxing. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was TO DIE FOR!! I have never had Brussels sprouts so delicious , I find myself wanting to try to make them at home since I live 3hrs away and won't be able to make it back anytime soon.

When planning my trip to Sequoia National Park, I used Yelp to find local food where we could sit down and eat a good meal. That is how I stumbled upon Ol Buckaroo! Upon arrival around 6 pm there was no parking outside so we had to drive a bit down the strip to find a spot. When we arrived we did not have a reservation, but were sat immediately. However, everyone following us was put on a wait due to the lack of seating inside. The inside wasn't anything special in regards to ambiance or decor, but the food was amazing! We both ordered two different types of burgers and they were super filling. They both came with a side of fries and the sweet potato fries were great! I will say the service at this location was lacking in communication and efficiency, but I am glad we stopped. I noticed the people next to us had their order placed wrong by the server and she became very disgruntled to find this out. The host was also very young and it was evident she was not quite sure the procedures of seating customers in the restaurant.

One of the only 3 restaurants in town and by far the best one! Quite a good menu, a few vegan and vegetarian options. Food was okay, some items better than others but overall good. Nice outdoor patio (not covered).Good service!

My partner and I had dinner here our first night while visiting sequoia. The servers were nice, however, our food took forever and our fries were cold. My partner got the chicken sando which was to fried and not enough chicken. I got the burger and it was pretty dry. There isn't many options for dinner so this one wasn't the worst but also not the best. I did like the ambiance of the restaurant, especially the outdoor seating.

Stopped here on our last day after being out in Sequoia NP. Was a bit worried of our attire but this place is pretty casual. Parking can be a struggle since the parking situation is small. Once inside we opted for indoor seating to enjoy the cool air conditioning even though the outdoor patio looked fun with what looked like misters. The menu offered a variety of dishes. We got the shrimp tacos, burger, the flank steak special and the kids grilled cheese with chicken wings to start off with. Our drinks came out and soon our food right after. Service was fast! Food was delicious. Steak was tender and the burger was juicy. The only issue we had were the constant flies swarming around our table. We were mainly guarding our food as we ate which was comical. I get that it's attached to the outdoor area but still.... Aside from that the staff was friendly. The service & food was spot on.

This is a great place to go and grab some drinks. It's right next to the Kaweah River and has a great vibe! They have mostly outdoor seating with picnic tables under a shed or umbrellas and many mist machines to keep you cool on a hot day! They also have some games like axe throwing (not real axes, velcro type board for the fake axes to stick), corn hole, etc. However, the food was quite disappointing. We tried a bunch of vegetarian items, so it may be just that vegetarian dishes are not their forte. - Curried squash skewers - I wish these had been charred more. Also, the sauce was quite bland and didn't go very well with the squash.- Things that make you go hmmm - This is hummus with roasted baby carrots. The hummus and roasted carrots were ok. It's very hard to eat hummus with roasted carrots though, because they are very soft and can't really be dipped well in the hummus. Also, there were 6 baby carrots and a whole lot of hummus, so you end up having a lot of hummus and nothing to eat it with.- Crispy Brussel sprouts - This was quite good, especially the cranberries.- Fries - Surprisingly not that great. They were too soft.

A very charming place to visit. I would highly recommend eating outside if you plan to dine here. You'll get great views of the river and mountains. My partner and I came for dinner on a Friday night and it was packed. Service was really slow, but very kind.We tried the mushroom risotto, the fried chicken sando, the lemon bar, and their chocolate dessert. Everything was very tasty. We loved the cheesiness and the way the mushrooms were prepared in the risotto. The fried chicken had a bit too much horseradish that took over the whole sandwich, but was still ok. We were left wanting more lemon flavor in the lemon bar, there was more crust than lemon. I adored the chocolate dessert. It was like a thick dark chocolate mousse. It was heavenly. I'm happy we stopped here for dinner.

Food is really good considering it's isolated location. My friend and I stopped in after hiking Sequoia NP and ordered their special (salmon with farro) and it was out of this world. Perfectly cooked. We also got their lemon bar for dessert and it was one of my top 5 best lemon bars ever. We stopped in again the next day and ordered steak and pasta. Steak was good but didn't stand out. Pasta was really basic. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Service was PHENOMENAL! Our waitresses were super friendly, made the place feel like a friend's home, and even gave us a tiramisu on the house The place is small but excellent location and homey feel. It's worth a stop if you're in Three Rivers.
