They admittedly killed my service dog in January 2024 and re injured my hip. It was so tragic and heartbreaking. It should be 0 stars but had to put 1 to comment. Devastated. NEVER take your dog.

The Oak is a favorite for my husband and me. Whether staying at the Inn or driving in for a meal, the place is perfection. The view of the majestic oak tree and golf course is stunning. We enjoy the Cobb salad and burger! Every visit the staff are accommodating and engaging. We linger there and then wander over to the fire pits and comfy chairs adjacent to the Oak to have a final drink. Visiting The Oak is a way to spend a perfect Sunday afternoon.

The brunch is pretty damn good. Best selection of vegetable dishes I've every seen at a buffet. It was really hot when we went so we sat inside. There was live music outside, but the band ate their breakfast near us. The hostess was nice and polite, all waitstaff attentive and helpful.

My Fav place ever. I go to the Oak restaurant at least 3-4 times a month. I suggest everyone go have a meal there. It's so beautiful and worth it!

The view from the patio is just spectacular. We dined in the evening and watched the sunset and as the evening progressed the sky and scenery changed until you see the silhouette of the stately oak trees with the coach lamps hanging from the trees. Very nice. The food was great and the service was excellent. It is a little pricey but it is a destination resort so that comes with the territory.

My wife and I drove up from Ventura for lunch at the The Oak Kitchen. The resort is beautiful and the setting very nice overlooking the golf course. Unfortunately the lunch didn't come close to matching the view. Our chicken sandwiches (which took 30 minutes to get to us) were charred and dried out. They were supposed to have bacon and avocado. Mine had all the bacon and no avocado. Hers had all the avocado and no bacon! Our server was apologetic and comped us one lunch which was nice. He offered a complimentary desert which we declined. You can't unring a bell and it was unfortunate that a long drive and a beautiful setting were ruined by a poor chef.

The place is beautiful! However, the check-in experience was terrible. They made us wait and, without even asking if it was okay, assigned us an ADA room. When it was time to check out, we requested a late check-out, which was supposed to be at 12 PM. Initially, they said no (poor customer service). However, the front desk later informed me that late check-out was available until 12:30 PM.

The Oak restaurant at the Ojai Valley Inn.Ojai locals here and 1st time customers at The Oak.Spent 90 dollars on an inedible prawn cocktail that was tougher than a tire and a random sauce that was meager and off putting.Thankfully we were refunded for that without saying anything other than we hardly touched the plate.$28 vegan enchiladas that didn't hold a candle to an affordable authentic Mexican restaurant in town.Lastly, the only flavor for the chicken, in the cob salad, was the char marks which arguably could've been preformed by Sysco wholesalers.Compliments to the server Sal for being good at what he does and not being over doting. The ambiance was amazing!Beautiful patio with a 200 yr old oak tree to gaze upon. However, I've had better food at the Government cafeteria while attending jury duty.

If you're not staying at the inn then don't waste your time. We called a week in advance and were put on the wait list. They said they call and let us know if they could seat us. Got no call. Called myself and waited 10 minutes with no one picking up. You would expect way more from an expensive and high end hotel. You can blame some of this on COVID but there's no excuse for not calling and not answering your calls. Shameful.
