Oaks Children Center

We relocated to Bakersfield at the beginning of the school year and enrolled our 3 yo, soon to be 4 yo, at the time. What a wonderful decision we made!After touring several places, the first thing that struck me when I entered the school was the large size of all the classrooms. The rooms were bright and cheerful, as was the staff.Throughout the school year, the teacher and staff were very good at communication. He really enjoyed being part of the Lions class. The school had many fun activities throughout the year.We loved the school so much that when we purchased/relocated to our home in the Rosedale area, we continued to take him to The Oaks every day. It was worth it.

When we needed a last-minute place to take our child due to unforeseen circumstances, the OCC went above and beyond to accommodate us. I recommend to any parents who want a safe space for their children to learn and play.

My daughter attended The Oaks Children Center from age 2 until she went to Kinder and during the summer this is where she goes as well. The staff and director are wonderful and always talk to us about any issues or how wonderful our daughter is. Love! But most importantly they treat my child (and others) as if their own. I highly recommend The Oaks if you want structure, academic, & love this is the place!!!

This is a very expensive school for what is offered and it is not worth it. The lunch isn't healthy there is a lot of repeated meals that are warmed up and not fresh. The water faucets are not always available in every class. The staff doesn't always have patience with the children and are not trained to handle difficult children. There is a lot of gossip of families and staff that it takes away from the focus of the children. The supervisors do not really care about staff and their feelings and let teachers harass and bully other teachers. The quality of childcare is average other than that they add a Christian film (included in monthly fee), Spanish class(added fee), and gymnastics(added fee). Everything looks peachy from the outside.

I love this preschool. My son is 4 and has blossomed in the last 6 months. Friendly and caring staff and administration.

After having a bad experience at another school, a friend suggested I look into Christian preschools for our daughter and so I stumbled upon Oaks Childrens Center. My child did so well here and we never looked back. She enjoyed coming to school and loved all her teachers and friends. She was able to be a kid and play and learn and have a good time. I also liked how they have the option to have your child attend chapel. I thought this was amazing because we wanted our child to learn about faith. She would come home and show us her prayers before eating because she was the prayer leader once and all The songs she learned. It's great how the tuition is affordable and it includes lunch and snacks! I really wished I found this place sooner. Now that my child is moving onto TK I will miss bringing her here and I know she will too! Thank you for everything, we will always recommend you to everyone!

What a wonderful school. The teachers are so sweet and loving towards the students. They keep the children busy with crafts, music, stories and even start them on their academic path. The office staff is so professional and answered all questions. They have nice big classrooms with tons of toys and activities. If you are looking for a safe, fun and loving school where your child will learn and grow this is the place.

My twins went to the Oaks since they were 2 years and 4 months. We loved it so much, they went to the summer daycare program as did their older brother (by 4 years). Our older son loved it so much, he chose the Oaks summer program over AKSA. I could not have asked for better teachers, a better program, and a more loving environment. The kids were able to take weekly Spanish and music lessons as part of the regular curriculum. We also learned that my son had a peanut allergy as he entered The Oaks and when we advised the school, they immediately went peanut free. My younger son had behavioral issues the last year he was at the Oaks for preschool and, under the direction of Lori Panici, the director, the staff had nothing but patience and helped my family work with my son to overcome his issues. We loved the preschool so much, we started attending their parenting and marriage classes upstairs in the church and made invaluable friends. We even started attending their church. My twins just started 1st grade and are doing great. They were ahead of the game in Kindergarten thanks to OCC. It has been, and remains, abundantly clear to me that my children's well being is at the forefront of OCC's concern, which is why they continue to attend the summer program, even the child who just started 4th grade.

Both of my kids attended this preschool and absolutely loved it. My son was there for one year and my daughter for two. The teachers love your children like they are their own. Everything is clean and organized, the teachers and staff are extensively trained, and they encourage & support parents. My daughter had social anxiety issues which they handled beautifully. My children were treasured, safe, and well-prepared for kindergarten. They pointed my kids to Jesus with every interaction. I am so thankful for our time at OCC. We have nothing but wonderful memories.

I can't say enough about the Oaks. Both of my children attended the OCC and loved it. After trying many childcare centers with my son, the OCC was the first where we felt safe, welcome, and comfortable. The staff is wonderful and truly care for the children as if they were their own. The director is AMAZING and always puts the children first. Even the summer program is great! I highly recommend sending your child to the OCC. They are Wonderful!
