I had the opportunity to attend a wedding here after at least a decade since the last one I attended . This place is in a sketchy neighborhood, but the grounds are beautiful! I love the bar they've built and the functionality of it is much needed. The grounds, the stage, the landscaping were all superb. Most of the employees were friendly, especially the security guard outside of the establishment. Now with the issues I encountered. First, we were one of the first tables served food, but also the last. A friend of mine waited for his beef option for about an hour after the first plate was set on the table. It seems like a free for all with servers setting down plates just wherever instead of a calculated effort of table by table, ensuring everyone is plated before moving on to another. The bartender was a bit harsh at one point when I overheard someone ask her what type of whiskey she was serving and she harped out "We don't have any name brands here!" Which, I'm sorry...for as much as the couple shelled out for access to their bar, having some name brands would've been nice ‍ Overall, this place is nice. It's quant and very intimate. The dance floor was pretty as well. Definitely give this place a call if looking for an intimate location for your next event.

I'm not even sure where to begin because this place is now more than just another venue to us. My daughter was married at NH November '23. The entire experience was perfect. Every detail was attended to and even some that we hadn't thought about was perfected by the owner and her excellent eye for detail. We looked to NH for the reception location but due to renovations taking place at our church, we were there for the ceremony as well. That wound up being the best outcome, even though it was not our original plan. I keep seeing people trying to do so much of their wedding DIY. NH will help with every detail and in the end you will have a wonderful even and lovely memories. DIY details added to all they had to offer, but I can't imagine doing everything. They give great advice, but make sure to have your own assistance outside the venue to help organize. NH is an event venue and there is a limit to what that entitles you to. I believe other posters are expecting someone to consult with for every detail and that is not what an event venue is for. They certainly tie it all together in the end but it is your party to plan. Everyone was very professional and organized. There are many items to rent and have available. They have great vendors to recommend. The DJ was amazing and every detail made this a dream wedding without breaking the bank.

My husband and I just had our wedding a week ago and we are beyond grateful for Michelle and her team! Michelle went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure it went perfectly. We did not have to worry about anything and although a few things didn't go as planned (due to my poor organization), I promise it didn't matter. My advice to any future brides is, go with the catering (we received so many compliments), and just trust that Michelle will take the best care of you on your day! Thank you so much for making our day so perfect and stress free!!

I never sought legal action. I read a few Google reviews stating similar issues with this venue and how communication was lacking. I called and emailed asking for a copy of this signed contract but never got a response. I'm now paying for legal shield and if it's not too late I'm considering a small claims for my deposit. I encourage people to not make a deposit on this venue because it has a pretty scene. The lack of communication and the way I was ignored after asking for my deposit back is not how you will want to be treated. The owner of the venue had apologized to me and she shared a few personal details explaining her lack of effort in setting a meeting to iron out all my wedding ideas. The deposit should have been refunded in that case. I even paid for the DJ she recommended and he has been so great he is using the deposit I paid him to do my daughter's first birthday. It just proves what type of people you are dealing with when you sign with Noriega House.

I just want to say thank you to Michelle and her assistant for going above and beyond to save my daughters baby shower. After all of our decorations got stuck in LA at the very last min, they came through and by some miracle had everything we needed to pull off the theme of the shower. The space was so beautiful I almost cried. And even on a day when it was 110 outside, it was still bearable in the upstairs space. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'd use them again without a doubt. Thank you guys so much, it was perfect.

I had a family member get married here recently, and overall, it was a nice experience. The venue itself was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and everything went off as it was supposed to. Based on what I was communicated by the family member, the price was fairly expensive, I guess understandably so. The entire wedding went great, and our experience was lovely, but my only complaints would be the price on everything, especially the drinks at the bar. Expensive, small, watered down drinks for 10 bucks a pop? Pass! Otherwise, great experience!

I was supposed to get married here in November and I'm so thankful I didn't. Michelle is dishonest and rude. This place knows what it is doing. It says multiple times in the contract no refunds so when they ghost you and you cancel they don't have to pay you! As soon as we sent over our deposit Michelle stopped responding to me. She told us she would give us vendor information and quotes for flowers however 5 months before the wedding we had zero information! When I tried to text her it would be weeks later with a response, if we even got one. Finally I told her because of the lack of communication and follow through we wouldn't have our wedding there and magically she text back immediately with a story about a family emergency and asking for grace. I completely understand emergencies but why couldn't she say that over the months I was trying to get information? I asked her not for the deposit back but for the $2000 we paid towards our bill because she failed to uphold her part in the contract and refused and said the things she said was not written down anywhere so I have no proof. She is correct. She told me verbally what she was willing to do for us. Now I realize it was just to get our deposit and she had no Intention of doing what she promised! I read the negative reviews and still tried this place out and that was my mistake! DO NOT HAVE YOUR EVENTS HERE! I would highly recommend Casa Merced Venue if you are looking for honestly, communication and professional people willing to bend over backwards for your event!

Beautiful establishment, terrible customer service. Michelle, is super nice until you tell her you don't want her decorating and catering services. The moment we said we would do our own decorations and would be hiring a caterer her personality completely changed. She was rude from that point forward and tried to make this the most difficult experience ever. The shower I threw was two months ago and I have yet receive a call back about the deposit I never received back to my account and also another unauthorized charge made to my account. I left the place exactly as we found it and there is no reason this Michelle person should be dodging my calls. The $200 owed to me isn't worth the headache of chasing at this point. Hopefully this yelp review will save others from this less than lovely experience.

While the venue is beautiful my experience planning an event with the staff was sub par, and I would not recommend. We planned a celebration of life for my grandmother which was a task during COVID. We met with Michelle our point person for the event. During our initial meeting she lacked the ability to provide suggestions to our simply inquiries which left us struggling to pull ideas. She then told us she would reach out to us with her number to iron out details of the event the upcoming Saturday, she never did this. She was very inflexible when setting up a livestream test the day before making the planning process even more difficult. The day of the event her and her staff ignored my directions which resulted in over 20 balloons flying away (which they replaced with incorrect colors). I requested the walk path to the stage be dried it was wet and slippery which was a hazard. The servers were eating their personal meals with gloves they served us with which was not COVID friendly. Like a said a beautiful venue the staff however is just problematic and unprofessional.

I know there are always those reviews that say "if I could leave zero stars, I would." But this place really deserves zero stars. We were going to plan a wedding here, and at first everything seemed great. But once we paid a deposit and the first installment, the communication went out the window. We would call- no response, email- no response, text- no response. It would take multiple tries to get a response and some would be a month or more later. They were supposed to set up appointments with vendors, get us quotes with flowers, and none of that was done. Do not work with Michelle and the Noriega house. They make everything non-refundable, and then don't do anything they said they were going to do.
