Jonathan Martinez helped my friend get his car last weekend and what I thought was amazing about him was how detailed he was and how much he listened to what my friend was needing. He didn't make it look like he was selling us anything he was just simply giving us options. The paperwork was pretty fast And the whole facility was super clean. A very enjoyable experience.

Posting my review from the first month of ownership:To begin, I want to say I am giving two stars because I thought that the staff (despite my experiences) all seem to be lovely people. I spoke with a medley of people who all made what was a terrible experience, not worse. Additionally, they assured me on multiple occasions that they were doing all they could to support me. I took that at face value and still do. As that is the case, I think it warrants a review so other customers are aware. I've tried my best to keep this fair and measured. Please keep in mind, I've generally been told my quality bar is higher than others but for brevity, my expectation is that a certified pre-owned vehicle that is 2 years old does not need two service visits within the first month. You can decide if the below issues are things you would accept in a CPO.I purchased a certified pre-owned 2022 Nissan Rogue right before Thanksgiving. I traded in my car which was 9 years old and had no issues. The CPO which allegedly passed a "rigorous 167-point Certified Pre-Owned inspection" had the following issues right out of the gate: charging pad was not consistently charging (ended up being iphone design issue), back button steering wheel wouldn't work, driver's side window didn't roll all the way down, D mode button didn't work, chair rail slides when stopping or accelerating quickly...or turning, etc+. Four days after purchasing the car, I had to drive it back to the dealership where it remained (over the holiday) for 4-5 days. To their credit (as requested), they were able to provide me a loaner to drive. Additionally, they replaced my full steering wheel (column?) instead of just unsticking the button and replaced the batteries in my car keys (which had just registered as low on battery while being serviced). The issues were addressed* (from what I can currently tell as a layman) except for the chair rail. I was told the chair rail wasn't an issue and that it was something that was present in multiple cars of multiple models on the lot. Since it was showing in several cars on the lot, Nissan of Bakersfield previously said they would not and could not replace it under warranty as it wasn't a defect and therefore corporate would not approve it. I asked them to put this in writing since it seems highly unlikely that your chair should move while driving. Since then, I have experienced issues with Apple Carplay (when connected to my car, the car would brick my phone and does not allow me to use wifi or cellular) and now a month later, my car is back in a local dealership because it would not start. When I press the start button, it doesn't start and the brake locks up. This happened a couple times in the last three weeks but yesterday it happened back to back several times. I took it into the dealership where it currently is now. They are examining the battery for replacement. While there, I had them examine the chair rail, there is currently a Voluntary Safety Recall Bulletin which includes my Nissan's make and model that says if the chair rail moves a certain amount it should be replaced (which the dealership I am at will honor). Throughout the process, I kept in constant contact with the Sales Manager, Service Manager, and a variety of other folks. At times, while everyone was pleasant, I felt I had to chase answers and resolutions on my car. Due to the issues with this car, I had asked that they extend the warranty and provide some other sort of additional coverage based on the lack of QA and the evident issues that no "rigorous" inspection should miss but I was told that fixing the issues, and a loaner car was the extent of the support they could provide. And that once the car is driven off the lot, they do try to fix an issues that immediately come up (as they want customers to have a pleasant experience) but ultimately they're not responsible for it once it's off the lot. Please note, this list of issues is not all inclusive as I am still discovering things. Other notables, I was not shown how a lot of the functions worked within the car (which is fine but apparently I was supposed to get some kind of tutorial) and in fact, I was actually provided misinformation - for example, I was told the Cruise Control button controlled the driver assist functions and turned them on and off, YouTube has since told me otherwise. I had also requested a copy of the 167 point inspection report which I have yet to receive weeks later.I am sure the folks at Nissan Bakersfield read this and feel like what was the point in helping me if I was going to write a negative review. I wasn't necessarily but the car continues to have issues (including one that was part of a safety recall). This doesn't even include the loan issues I had to troubleshoot b/c the dealership left info off my loan (per the bank) that I had given (as shown on my paperwork).

They have horrible customer service! I tried calling 15 times and was hung up multiple times. When I do talk to somebody, they try to transfer me to someone else, and they never answer the questions that are given. This was my third Nissan with the dealership, and it will be my last! The service has gone downhill in the past few years, it's been replaced with snide remarks and with childish demeanor. I tried calling them today for help because I'm locked out of my car and the fob isn't recognizing in the system. Then I tried starting the car and it gave me a malfunction error, I tried telling him this issue and I was hung up on. They didn't even let me finish saying what I need to say because I have to get the insurance companies involved. I highly don't recommend doing business with them or the dealership! Once this car is paid off never again! (I.e. next year)

In all fairness to the service advisors and mechanics, this dealership is SEVERELY understaffed. They have more work than any human can possibly handle. My service advisor, Ariel Rubio, was very kind and considerate. It's not his fault that they are understaffed. The dealership needs to find a way to fix this problem. The wait times are beyond ridiculous, and this comes down to poor management.

13880 dollars is what I saved NOT using Nissan of Bakersfield. Same car different color was 7000 less at Nissan of Mission Hills (thanks Jolly Castro). The sales person, Luis also tried to practice predatory lending by trying to put my son in an 8% loan when Nissan has a 2.49% rate special. They quoted my son 618 per month 72 months with 2,000 down. He's paying 453 per month with zero down. And he got the 500 military rebate as well. Screw you Luis and Bakersfield Nissan.

I usually have good experience with service here however recently, it was not great. Earlier this month, I had my vehicle serviced and evaluated for a recalled part. Afterwards, my car began making a noise while driving so I called to inquire about it. The woman I spoke to was not the most polite and when I tried to explain the problem, she said they they didn't "investigate a noise" when I brought it in for service. I tried explaining more that the noise was prominent after the service and she subsequent transferred me to another woman who said that they could not look at my vehicle unless I paid an additional $165. I was not even given the opportunity to inform this new woman of the problem. As a customer, it seemed like there was some defensiveness and hostility in her voice and I did not feel comfortable continuing the conversation. I thanked her for her time and hung up before the conversation escalated. It is unfortunate to have such a negative experience with this service dealership.

Time and time again I am disappointed by this dealership in Bakersfield. The service techs are polite and so is the staff inside, but it seems that there isn't enough people working to complete a service in a reasonable amount of time. Whenever I bring my car in for its maintenance oil change I have to wait 4-5 hours. On top of the extended wait time, they quit washing the cars as the service agreements states they will.So I have started making appointments to have things "fixed" just so I have a scheduled appointment. However, I am still told it is a 4-5 hour wait. As I wait, the techs go to lunch and I am still waiting for my car that has sat for 4 hours with no service being done. No work has been started.
