My Spot Downtown Grill

The food is absolutely great.The service is tremendous. The ambiance is excellent. I have began eating Vegan. My Spot DOWNTOWN GRILL has the best Vegan Lentil Tacos.My photos for this place are in my reviw for The Spot Downtown.I highly recommend this place.Veronica, the Manager is a sweetheart, and go in there enough, she gets to know you.The coffee shop in the same building leads to the perfect ambiance in the place.

The teriyaki bowl was not only DELICIOUS it was enough for two meals ! It was the BEST teriyaki bowl I've ever had in Bakersfield. They were fast , FABULOUS and very reasonably priced. My new " go to" can't wait to try there other meals !

The biggest draw for me to make the trip and pay a little more for a burger from a small business is the shoestring fries. They are always seasoned, the right amount of crispy, and plentiful! But this time I opened my to go box and was taken aback! These were not the fries I traveled for. I cannot justify making a little trip for (don't make me say it) steak fries! They were close to a grainy mashed potato in consistency. The burger was fine but I left feeling empty. Shoestring crispy seasoned fries empty. Some would say that is in the top 10 feelings of emptiness.

Enjoyed this place more than I thought I would!Looking at the menu I did kind of think that it was more on the expensive side, but it ended up being quite worth it! A little bit discouraged with all the signages displaying how they charge for everything. Ketchup, ranch, refills, you name it. The seasoned fries were good, personally I'd enjoy more seasoning. The western burger was gooood. Juicy patty, melted cheese, good amount of bacon.

I've wanted to come here for years , I just couldn't figure out where it was . When I finally found it, I was so excited . Out front the specials are posted for the day and as you walk in past all the other shops, I was kindly and sincerely greet by the person standing at register . I wasted no time ordering the taco plate special as it was Taco Tuesday and a very reasonable price . The plate even comes with a fountain drink , you can't beat that . I sat inside the restaurant and waited for my food . Although it was quite busy , my food came out quickly . I ordered asada tacos and they were warm and tasty. It was the perfect amount of food . I enjoyed my time here and can see why it's local favorite.

I've ordered deliver via food delivery apps multiple times from My Spot and it has been delicious every time. I've had chilaquiles with salsa verde, pancakes, chorizo breakfast burritos, and biscuits and gravy and they were all tasty, they are also super affordable. I will continue to eat from here and highly recommend them!

The Spot...My Spot. It's the Spot you need to go to. It is hidden inside the build, you won't see the store front. They've increased seating. The food is always good. My husband and I meet here for lunch when we are in office because it's centrally located. Parking can be a bummer. I make him take his lunch at 11 am so I don't have to deal with it. We had the taco salad and it was great! Very flavorful. Still somewhat healthy-ish. I would definitely make sure to try it out.

My Spot Downtown makes some damn good specialty pizzas! Stopped by today with my Yelpie friend and it was a delight. Thankfully we beat the 12 o'clock lunch hour rush and got in there about 30 minutes early.I got the Pesto pizza with salami, Parmesan cheese, arugula and balsamic drizzle. The pesto was herbaceous and the crust was soft, yet had the perfect smoky flavor imparted by the stove. The salami provided just enough saltiness that the fresh arugula was able to cut through so the pizza didn't feel heavy or weighed you down. This establishment offers a variety of other items such as sandwiches, burgers and a even a rice bowl. The relaxed ambiance makes for a good lunch spot for office workers in and around downtown without breaking your wallet.

Adorable little lunch spot! Burgers were of good size and were not messy when eaten. They had very good flavor. Onion rings were delicious. Burger combos came with fries and a drink with free refills. There's a coffee spot literally connected to this spot and lots of chairs and tables and cute little section with couches.

This is a very non-descript place in and interesting shared-use space. I went there early one morning while visiting Bakersfield for work. What completely blew my socks off was the amazing pastrami breakfast burrito. It was expertly made, piping hot, and delicious. It was literally the BEST breakfast burrito I have ever had.
