5 stars all around to this sweet little gem right off the 5 freeway! When you walk in the smell of buttery crust pulls you in because they are baking fresh pies! I felt like the little cartoon character who is floating while smelling the yummyness of it all! This place is just so cute and quaint. It has a real homely feel and the young lady working was so kind! She was actually the daughter in law of the owner and she was just really personable. You could tell she really loved the family business. We will definitely be stopping in here the next time we are taking a drive down to SoCal! It's too delicious not to stop! Thanks for the warm and fuzzy feels on a cold day!

You've never tasted real fruit until you've had Murray's. Both the Purple and Red Barns. They had 5 or 6 varieties of cherries alone this year that made store bought cherries taste like water. The Champagne Coral were little things that looked dented and bruised, but they were the most flavorful cherry I've ever tasted. They taste like a cherry gummy candy!!!!

What a quaint little place to stop at on our drive down from SF to San Diego! Murray Family Farms is located right off of I-5 and is a great pitstop if you're looking to fill up on healthy snacks, fruits / veggies, pies, etc.We came by at around 2pm on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and they had just reopened their doors after taking a lunch break. Our main goal was to get a few slices of pie for the road, but at first glance, they had only whole pies put out on display. We ended up wandering around the shop for a little bit before asking the girl at the front if they had any pie slices for sale that day. Luckily, they had both peach pie and strawberry rhubarb pie so we got a slice of each! These pies were HEAVENLY. The crust was buttery, and the fruit filling inside tasted so fresh and delicious. We both devoured our pies in the car and were left wanting more :) Oh we also picked up some spicy cajun okra chips which were very unique and were super crunchy and flavorful!

Yelp declared this location as closed when we passed through. Perhaps this was temporarily closed because of Covid, but by August of 2021 they were once again open for abbreviated business. I know this. The signs on a lonely stretch along the I-5 freeway caught our eye. Predictably, we got sucked in.Off the beaten path, our first sighting was a drab little yellow shanty, surrounded by dusty trees, weeds, and a dirt road to an unkempt parking lot. Sadly, it looked abandoned. But I hopped out of the car and stepped inside to find a cute but small operation. It reminded me of a country roadside fruit stand, maybe like the now famous Hadley's had looked mid 20th century. Dried fruits, pickled vegetables in glass jars, local jams, freshly baked fruit pies (yes, baked that day!), fresh fruit and drinks in the refrigerator. Air conditioning was appreciated in that arid part of Southern California, not to mention the friendly vibes from the single female employee there. She also bakes the pies they sell. Heart be still. The facility includes one indoor, clean restroom, and a covered, enclosed patio.Get off the highway, follow the signs (a short drive down that country road), and take a peek inside. And if you are a pie lover, we were very impressed with our choice, a strawberry rhubarb pie...not too sweet, great crust. Delicious and nostalgic! This is a place to take a little break from a long stretch of road. I recommend this little adventure.

The fruit was sweet and delicious. The store has sooooo many items such as different types of fudges, pies, honey and more. The young lady working the register was a delightful person. I will definitely stop here on my next road trip.
