Okay so I have been wanting to eat at this place since they first opened! I deliver for DoorDash and I am constantly coming here to pick up orders and it always smells great inside! The people who work are very friendly. I have seen a lot of people leave bad reviews on the place because their food looks "burnt" or overcooked. My first impression when I got my food was "oh no mine may be burnt as well," but it definitely was not at all! It may look like it but this just might be their preference on how long they cook their food for. My food definitely did not taste burnt or overcooked. My fried chicken was amazing, it was nice and crispy and had a ton of flavor. The hush puppies were nice and fluffy on the inside. That Cajun macaroni salad was absolutely fire Oh and I also had the Nipsey Juice, it was good, (not going to lie, it tasted kind of like Kool-aid) but it went perfect with my meal whatever it was! Lol I will definitely come here to eat again and I cannot wait to try other things from the menu!

Called, e-mailed, and drove by, absolutely %...NO response. They will never be successful with such poor customer service !

The food is awesome and worth the money. The portions are generous. I ordered catfish, oysters and Cajun macaroni salad. Everything seasoned just right. I'm happy I don't have to travel to 45 minutes to get my fried fish fix. The owner is very professional and accommodating.

My fish was great! So were my sides. The owner was fun to talk with while her husband cooked. Her kids were pleasant and well mannered while in the restaurant with customers. I'm going back today to try the chicken. I bet it'll be damn good!

I don't mind spending money on good food with decent portion sizes. Unfortunately, this was not the case at this establishment. I ordered battered red snapper with Parmesan fries, chocolate cake and a drink called "The Assassin" juice. My red snapper fillets (3 dinky pieces) were s m a l l...I've never seen a red snapper that small. It had a weird taste and I had to dip the fillets in ketchup to mask the weird taste. Let's talk about the small fries...It looked like someone decided I didn't need that many. The Assassin juice (which I'm guessing was probably Flavor-aid) was not good. I took a few sips and tossed it. The chocolate cake was dryer than the Mojave Dessert. I was so disappointed. I was also hungry after eating my "meal" from this establishment. The customer service was good. I hope that the flavor of the food and portion sizes eventually mirror the customer service.

Establishment wasn't open when we arrived from Lancaster, which is over an hour drive . But it states clear as day on Google maps that you're open for business and that's very unprofessional. It was a waste of time, gas & money, and I am very disappointed. There's no heat wave or any of that going on today. Gotta do better. The food looks amazing though.

I frequent this establishment because the food is delicious. She takes time and care to prepare freshly made food on every visit. Not only does the food taste fabulous, but the customer service is impeccable. See you soon!

Considering, I only ordered using doordash, I will not be keeping texture, and heat in mind. However. This place has some of the saltiest items, and I myself love salty things. Even for me it was way too much and a struggle to eat. The food though very salty, was not flavorful in any pleasant way. The hush puppies that I ordered, came raw in the middle, and the only good part of my $60 meal was the banana pudding funnel cake. Was very disappointed when I got this because I had heard good things about this place and I love seafood. I don't know if I ordered on a bad day, but was not good. Overall 2.5/10

You can't judge a book buy it's cover. The food was surprisingly tasty. Finally so good food in California City!!I had fried chicken and parm fries. The loaded shrimp back potato was awesome.

Had the banana pudding funnel cake Today very dissatisfied the funnel cake Wasn't a funnel cake it was hard and separated like crumbs The bananas were fresh and the pudding wasn't quit banana pudding for the price and quality that have to get fixed but looking forward to still trying to the food and supporting black business
