Oh the joys of RV living. There are a few RV parks in the area, but this one turned out to be the most inviting. And from what we have heard from other RVers and seen as we checked out the other parks, it is also the best overall. To start, this is a relatively small and quiet park. The management and "locals" were all very friendly towards us, and everything works as expected. There are only a few dozen spaces, about 2/3 of which are pull through. The back in spaces offer little room to park a vehicle, but there is ample free parking in an area that used to be for RVs, but has been designated for car parking. Even a second vehicle (in addition to the RV) is free to park here. I could offer many recommendations on how they could better arrange this parking area to get in at least 1 (maybe 2) more RV spots, but I don't think they are interested. The only bad thing about where we were in a back in site along the wall was the housing lots behind us. There are a lot of kids playing in the empty lot that get kind of loud, and a few people like to have "hang outs" outside of their house with small bonfires and (sometimes loud) music. The location is really great - very close to the highway, but not so close as to hear the traffic. The park is on one of the two main roads in Santa Paula with easy walking access to many places to eat, shop, etc. There is a mobile home park associated with this RV park, but they are two separate entities. There are no mobile homes parked with the RVs, and there is no traffic between the two places either. We were warned of ants when we moved in, and they weren't kidding. There are countless ants marching all over the places, but after spraying around our entire camper, cords, hoses, etc. with Ortho Home Defense, we have seen only a few individual ants inside, and this is to be expected. Eventually, we did have a few invasions, but this was quickly taken care of with thorough cabinet cleaning, re-spraying, and placing various ant-traps around. The only really bad thing I can say about this place is the pool/spa. There is a very small swim spa that no longer works correctly. It is usually heated to a very comfortable temperature and has some under bottom jets, although they are a bit over powered. None of the other jets work, and the swim jet has been sealed over as well. All of this would be fine, but it closes at 8pm, which seems a bit ridiculous, but the managers don't want to worry about people in there at night. Also, they don't have any bathroom or shower facilities, so no re-caulking the bathtub for me...There is no laundry facility on site; however, there are a couple of options down the road. The closest one can be easily walked to using a rolling laundry cart:http://www.yelp.com/biz/santa-paula-coin-laundry-santa-paula#hrid:uGDnLgdbpQkFHTKAwSMvngIf you are in need of propane, this turned out to be the cheapest option for us, and not very far away: Delta Liquid Energy, (805)525-3311http://www.yelp.com/biz/delta-liquid-energy-santa-paula#hrid:jJI5JNzWFYoNLwSsoxsLvg

I made a reservation and was on my way from Cambria to Mountain View. I called to let them know I would be 15 minutes late. At that time they asked me what year my RV was. I said 1993; it is in very good condition with no dents. AT THIS TIME they told me no older RVs allowed in their park. These people should ask this question when you make a reservation.Their web-site DOES NOT state this. Very sad service. I would not even go back, even with a newer RV. Steve W. Lake Mathews, Ca

We have an older Monaco Diplomat diesel coach. Not only were they snobby and arrogant over the phone about the age of our coach, they even gave us trouble over our bulldog and Chihuahua-mix dogs. Really? This place deserves their poor reviews. What morons. When we get a newer coach, I guarantee we will *never* stay at this place. I'd rather stay at Rincon, with zero hookups, then give these people a single penny.

I want to write a good review of this place, cause it was quiet and beautiful. However I can't, since they don't put any of their RV rules anywhere online or the RV apps, and no one is in the office on Sunday- the day most people check in/out. It's walk in only. So we drove all the way there (we full time in a restored 1972 classic Airstream trailer). Pull in and get ready to pay, when some fine print on the brochure says only RV's 12 years or newer. If they can't put these rules on their website, or have someone in the office to answer questions every day, they shouldn't expect people who drive for hours to be turned away over something so ridiculous. Don't go here if you want to be surrounded by snobs who don't appreciate a historical vehicle.

We will never stay here again. When we arrived the electricity was out. They have WiFi, but it is always going out and we're right next to the unit. They are definitely NOT dog friendly, and they charge extra for dogs! They claim there is a dog run. It does not exist. The grounds are very tattered and the trash needs to be emptied...Trash Can Full Left for days. When the sprinklers come on to water the weeds and rocks, it floods your site.

My stay here was a great experience! Dennis the manager was great and in the 28 days I was there had done a ton of updates and fixed a lot of things!! The only issue I had was ants. They were horrible! But if I ever need a place to park Mountain View would be my 1st choice!

I have never stayed at this park nor have I ever written a Yelp review before but I can't resist. I just completed a complete renovation of a vintage Airstream. I spent over $40k on this renovation and have a better than new Airstream that will last another 40 years. My wife, 2 kids and I are going to be traveling around the US for the next year while my wife takes the occasional travel nursing gig. Her first gig happens to be in Camarillo. In researching a place to park our RV I came across this rv park and quickly learned their hard and fast rule of no RV's older than 12 years. I know of many places that have rules like this but most of them that I have come across state that older RV's must be approved by manager. My Airstream is nicer, safer, and better looking now than it was new. To just have this crazy rule with no exceptions is crazy and quite honestly out of touch.

In response to the below review done by Sarah L. I investigated the complaint and the review isn't factual. First, It is true-Park rules are not posted online but the website clearly states "**coaches must be 12 years or newer". This Post can be found under "RATES." http://www.rvmtview.com/?page_id=4I went to the Park-I saw a big sign in front of the Office that reads "No RV's over 12 years allowed in the park. Lastly, I picked up a brochure (while at the park) and under "RV Rules & Regulations #1" I read "ALL RV'S MUST BE 12 YEARS OR NEWER." Now let's visit the 2nd part of the complaint from Sarah L. The Complaint Reads- "It's walk in only." "So we drove all the way there (we full time in a restored 1972 classic Airstream trailer)." "Pull in and get ready to pay, when some fine print on the brochure says only RV's 12 years or newer. Don't go here if you want to be surrounded by snobs who don't appreciate a historical vehicle. "First, I booked a reservation from the manager. The Park is not "walk in only." You can reserve or walk in. Both options are available. I was told by the Manager people sometimes book a spot a whole year in advance. 2nd, I have already established that the above "12 Year Rule" is posted on the website, Office and Brochure. 3rd, Talking to the Manager, she is far from a snob. She was very nice and helpful. In closing-It is sad people post out of anger instead of fact. Just because you had a bad day and you were not in compliance doesn't mean it's ok to tell TALL TALES just to make yourself feel better.I really enjoyed my stay.
