It was basic service for my GMC 2019 pickup. Online scheduling was easy. I had an appointment and dropped off my truck. The staff is friendly and efficient. Once we figured out my service needs, we went to lunch.I got a call my truck was ready. They wash the exterior. Payment and pickup was a breeze. The place is clean and professional. When you getting repairs, that's a good thing to look for.

Bought a 2024 GMC Sierra at this dealership a year ago and have come here now twice for service which is last time I'll ever come back. The service department here is completely useless and unqualified to carry out any such tasks. The first time I came here for just a simple oil change, that was it and it took them 7 hours to complete it even though I made an appointment at 7:15am and was the first person here. A simple oil change took them 7 hours to complete and that's literally all they did. The second time I came here today, dreading from the first experience, made an appointment 3 weeks prior and showed up once again early for a recall service that I was told should take 20-30 minutes to complete a a transmission fluid service. Over 6 hours later I finally asked them just to have the truck tightened up and pulled off the line as I wasn't about to wait another minute under the stupidity and lack of experience to do a simple task such as a preventative maintenance. This is the problem with most dealerships but especially this one in Bakersfield here at GMC. No customer service or care about people time around even if your proactive with them in making an appointment is won't matter. You're better off driving out of town to do a service or even purchase a vehicle that will save you TIME, MONEY, and Headaches then coming to this dealership and still will be back in town before this place would ever be done with your service. If I owned this place I would have fired every employee here for the lack of anything other than they can breathe and that's about it as their qualifications. Yelp needs to upgrade to start allowing people leaving businesses with a negative review because this place is far from even a one star review. Do not waste your time or money with this sorry excuse of a dealership, it's nothing but headaches, run around and inexperience across the board.

The GMC service department took two weeks to tell me that nothing could be duplicated. Despite my numerous calls since Friday, I received no response. However, when I went to the dealership to check the status, the truck was surprisingly ready for pick up! But I had to wait 30 minutes for paper work to be closed out! The only positive interaction was the young cashier who did her best to research what was going on. Not one other service advisor asked me anything when I was waiting by Steve Romans office for 30 minutes, not even a simple greeting.

2/4/24 Make sure you don't make a deal over the phone. A persons word isn't enough anymore. By the time you get to the office the vehicle will be sold to someone that probably is making one of the salesman or the company more money. Horrible management experience.

I just purchased a Certified used Yukon from Motor City yesterday. Sergio Avilla was my salesman and really went the extra mile for me. I would highly recommend Sergio and Motor City to anyone in the market. I'm not easy to work with (especially when it comes to spending large sums of money) but this was the smoothest car purchase that I have had.

I went in with a pre-approval letter to which the salesman said he had a bank that could beat my rate. I agreed to have one inquiry to the one bank. Without my consent or knowledge, this dealership ran inquiries through four other banks...so far. They asked me if I would let them run my credit through another bank and (with a witness) I said no. It was probably to cover up that they already took the liberty of doing it. I got home to find emails from the credit bureaus with unauthorized inquiries....and I never signed a loan application or consent to run my credit in the first place. This is NOT the GMC I purchased my truck from in 2021. This is no better than the shady auto dealers selling lemons on Union Ave.

Carlos in sales is top notch! Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the service department. Even if you book an appointment for first thing in the morning, be prepared for a long wait. It's disturbing the amount of GMC vehicles that are in need of repair. The electrical department is consistently booking at least two weeks out and will most likely keep your vehicle for at least week. During that time, it will sit for days before they get to it. If you need a loaner...good luck. Because of the high amounts of vehicles being serviced, there aren't loaners available most of the time. DO NOT RENT YOUR ON CAR! My "advisor" told me I could rent a car and my warranty would cover it. What he failed to mention was the all the catch 22s involved. I turned it my receipts to my "advisor" and for 2 MONTHS he lied about submitting my reimbursements. He even went as far as to place follow up calls to me regarding the status KNOWING he never submitted anything. I finally went to the stealership to find out what was going on and that's when I learned that he hadn't done anything. The clerk then told me that I would likely get a fraction of what I paid out but to call GM for a better resolution. GM informed me that they won't take action because the reimbursements are past 30 days. I called and left a message for the COO and GM and never received a call back. GM has filed a dealer complaint and they still haven't responded. I'd never buy another vehicle that has to be serviced by this dealership!

this is the worst dealership in Bakersfield these guys repair men are garbage they're trash. They've had my car for over a month and the . My car is in there on the warranty they've had for over a month and a half. They never come until they happen. Tell me what's up with my car. It's been in there being hostage, I will never buy a car from here.
