Mooney Grove Park

I've been to this park on several occasions and I can't believe I never noticed or even heard of the museum here?! Maybe I was to much in a rush here?? Nooo, that's not it, I have no clue why. 6 bucks Friday through Sunday and the museum is free!! I probably came on the wrong days...that has to be it. Anyways, it was sooooo cool!! So awesome to learn and discover the history of Tulare county and the surrounding areas!!! I want to go again, because I know I missed some information since I had my 4 year old with me, and he wasn't to interested at all. It's good for adults!!

Really enjoyed it there. There were only a few people there. Weather was great. People were friendly.

On Saturday May 9th my wife and I went to Mooney Grove Park for a picnic lunch. After eating we went for a walk. When I looked into the pond / toilet bowl that I remember rowing boats in what a disappointment. The water was dirty and seems uncirculated. If my swimming pool looked like this I would have mosquito abatement at my door. I realize it is a habitat for fish and fowl but I've seen it look better. I'm an avid park goer and love the peaceful environment at the park. Just a little disappointed in the pond.

I love this park! Too bad many take away from this local gem! Beautiful place to feed the birds and to walk and enjoy the natural environment..

I came to this park not too long ago I'm from out of town visiting Visalia in Tulare county.As a LA native I would say I liked this park a lot

I visited Mooney Park on sunday Oct 29th 2017 and i went into the museum with the schoolhouse and trailer barn, called country historical museum there were a couple noticeable cobwebs that i walked into as it looked like the facility has not been well kept. Once i finished my walk through the museum i noticed on my left leg several spider bites started appearing, i am still recovering to this day. I am writing this complaint as I hope no one experiences the pain i had to bear with the spider bites, thank god the spider was not poisonous. This bite has actually became infected and i am on antibiotics now.

I love this park! But the last time I was there my grand-baby was running on the grass area by the playground when an old man in a car drove pass the road and without slowing down he kept driving towards us driving on grass, Me not knowing who he was I got so scared thinking he was going to run over my granddaughter I panicked! Ran to her and when I picked her up I confronted the man as he stopped. All he said "park is closing get out!" I told him off!! And he waited in his car until I loaded the child and once I was done he escorted me out! This was 5minutes before closing time! The man is old! Too damm old for this behavior! Accidents happen and he should know better! I don't know why or who he is and I don't understand why the city allows this old man to do this to people because I've gone there twice and both times he's done the same one of these days he's gonna mix up that pedal and he's gonna really hurt somebody Eventually he is gonna rot in jail! But no he won't he's still around doing this for a reason! He must be a $$donor or something in which the city of Visalia is taking advantage of,, to put up with this! So my advice go early avoid this old creep!

I love Mooneys Grove Park. It Has a lot of history,And a lot of goose shit. If you're playing disc golf bring a towel,bring two towels. And have a good day.
