Monte Vista Nursery

I need to replace some dead trees and found this listing. The former Cooper's Nursery is again occupied. I got there a little after 8:00 AM. The other nurseries did not open till 9:00. As I drove by I noticed the property was full of trees. I drive it unsure where to park. I was the only one!I walked around to check out the trees. Eventually this man approached me and asked if I had any questions. I asked him about shade trees, trees with non invasive roots. I also wanted a few flowering plums trees. They were priced at $45.00. Not knowing what trees cost these days, I thought of driving to 2 other nurseries to get an idea. I mentioned to him, I live a mile away and will be back to get some trees. This nursery was short on ground covers and annual flowers. They had a lot of trees and shrubs.Next stop was this nursery on Allen Road. Hmm, it was crowded and I barely found a spot to park. I asked to see some trees and was directed towards the back. Wow, same trees in the same pot cost $20+ more! This nursery sure had a lot choices for annuals, shaded plants like the Japanese Maple. Last stop, a nursery on Norris Road. Not as expensive compared to my 2nd stop. Not much tree selection but definitely had a lot of ground covers, annuals and shrubs.If you are looking for trees to plant here in Bakersfield, Monte Vista is the nursery. Cheapest price for healthy trees.

I was looking for variety and this nursery has it. Lots of trees and healthy plants. This plant nursery is great for those of us that love gardening. Definitely check it out and I promise that you won't regret it.

This is our go to nursery for trees and occasional succulents. They are very knowledgeable about the type of trees you need for your space. We bought Chinese Elms that are doing just as well as the ones we bought at the local big box store for 40% less. Bring cash, they'll work out a great deal for you! Trust me, you'll go back several times after finding this gem! You're welcome

Healthy plants. Good prices and helpful crew. I've gotten magnolias and date palms from this nursery and will be back for more

This place was a great find! Started out with purchasing some hedges. Prices were good and the service was fantastic. Nice big selection. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very knowledgeable in plants and trees but Alex was so nice and helpful. He answered any and all the questions I had regarding how to care for them. Been back three times now making more purchases from Monte Vista Nursery have been met each time with the great friendly service. Thank you Alex for taking the time to really help us out.

Found exactly what we were looking for a fraction of the price everywhere else. The guys that work here were nice and helpful.

We went to this nursery looking for shrubs the employees were really helpful in helping us find what we wanted also there prices are really good compare to other places. Would definitely be back for more shrubs

This nursery has a big fruit tree selection, with many types of fruit trees to choose from. The service was outstanding, and the prices are reasonable. I definitely will come back for more.

This place is off the beaten path and amazing! They don't have as many smaller plants but tons of medium ones and trees! They are about 50-75% cheaper than the more popular nursery's in town and more down to earth than I found another nursery on Allen road to be. I'll forever be a customer. The crape myrtle I wanted was going to be $125 at the other nursery and here it was $30 for the same size

They have the best prices wow all of trees are in great great shape and it's vibrant nursery is clean and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable they do you know what they're talking about.
