Moga Palace

This venue is nice but has a lot of flaws. Dancefloor had tape all over but parts were still sticking out. Not worth it but due to how unprofessional, rude, and unorganized the owner Bob is. He cut us an hour short at the end of the night from what our contract stated. We had it for 12 hrs. The day of he said doors would open at 2:30pm.  We found out at the end the owner himself let in a vendor an hour early. He claimed someone sent them but no one had authority to approve them to go in except for my husband and I since we are the ones that made the agreement with Bob and we are the only ones that signed the agreement. Yet he made the decision without asking if we were accepting it and last min we were in a rush to pack up since they kicked us out due to HIS choice. He contacted us 3 days after our event stating food got clogged up in the kitchen sink due to our caterers that dumped food in there and he needed to hire a plumber. However my caterers kept bringing me in the day of to show me everything. Unfinished food from guests went straight to the trash and leftover food was packed in aluminum trays plus a bag over it and was taken home by us. We asked him for proof and he stated his cameras rewrite after 24 hours. (What major business owner has low end cameras that rewrite so quickly and why would he tell us after the fact they were rewritten..) then suddenly he said he was able to recuperate the footage but still kept making excuses to not show it. He also stated steel wool got stuck in his drainage but I saw everything my caterers took and they didn't even take steel wool and she even brought her dishes dirty to wash at her own house. While I tried to talk to him he kept talking over me and didn't care to listen to what I had to say nor answered my questions and just kept saying it was our fault and "we didn't want to pay damages". I don't mind paying damages just as long as they're true. He charged us for 2 table cloths at $100 which I didn't tell him anything about that. I just wanted to see about the kitchen drainage he claimed was from us yet he kept coming out with excuse and then said he doesn't have to show us anything. (I'm sure now because he didn't even have it). Still charged us $200 for the plumbing. I have video proof of him not even letting me talk and admitting he's the one that let the vendor an hour early without even calling anyone. He claims he has "video proof" of the caterers dumping food (even though we took it home) and keeps coming up with excuses to not show it. Seems like he's all talk and definitely not a man of his word. SAVE YOUR TIME AND STRESS, IT IS NOT WORTH IT !!! GO ELSEWHERE !!! I'd rather pay a ton more money elsewhere but at least to someone that is honest and doesn't give their customers headaches and answers their questions. He's the same owner as Firefighter Hall and The Lux so avoid those too!

Horrible horrible person the owner ,,.,, save yourself the stress and find a different hall... he didn't even give our 500$ deposit back said our family/friends broke the small flower decor when asked us to show the damage stuff .... said he will send us the pics which we are still waiting for till date ..... Told him to give our damage stuff still no response from him....Any good review are coming from his family or friends ....

Moga Palace is also known as Fandango Hall. Please read all reviews before booking!!We booked this hall and made monthly payments without issue. We had a signed contract and Bob (the owner) was helpful. We even had our balance paid off two months prior. But when the day of the event arrived, Bobs true colors showed.We held our event at the Moga Palace on January 18, 2020. Bob is very unprofessional and arrogant. He made up rules on the day of the event. Locked ALL the doors until the event start time despite writing in our agreement that doors would open 30mins prior. He spoke to several of my event planners in a rude manner and was not available on the day of any issues that arose.He had a portable heater at the door of the kitchen facing into the hall and stated it was "illegal to turn on the heater for the hall" so he was using that one. This heater could probably only heat up a very small room.On the day of the event, the men's and women's restrooms became clogged resulting in water coming out of toilets and spilling onto the floors. The waiters/bartenders that are written in the contract are also the ones who will handle any issue so he told one of the waitresses to stand by the door with a mop in order to resolve this issue. The men's restroom had no paper towels initially and I was told by the waitress that Bob doesn't allow paper towels in the men's restrooms.Lastly, the security guards on the contract did not show up until 2hrs after promised and did not appear to be official. They left after they realized we had hired our own! It is an unsafe location so you will need official security guards!I was warned that the owner will allow a hot dog stand be setup by an unknown vendor right outside the door so we made sure that didn't happen at our event and hired our own security!The hall is beautiful but I would have rather paid double to get excellent service on the day of the event. Proceed with caution!

This place is open for business and having events and he still hasn't offered to pay us the thousands of dollars that he owes us.

Save yourself the time and stress. My fiance and I went through all the trouble of calling Fandango City while booking our church date to make sure we booked the right date that would be available for both spaces. We drove from the church to Fandango City to make sure no one else had already booked our date. We made our $300 deposit and lived in bliss. A month later, when my fiance and I were ready to make the first payment, we called Fandango City only to find out that another couple had booked that date a whole month before us! They were double-booked! Fandango City knew that our date had already been booked for a month, and they made no effort to contact us to tell us about their mistake. Apparently, the booking system they use is Microsoft Word and paper files. I am so disgusted with their service. I've heard from a friend that a similar situation had happened to them in 2015. Their date had been double-booked, and one couple was forced to change their date.The owner, Bob, made it seem like it was no big deal. As if, we can just come in and change the date like no issue. He doesn't understand that my fiance and I already spent money on sending out Save the Dates, and we have family that was already making arrangements to have time off of work and booking flights. We have people coming from the Philippines, Texas, and Wisconsin. In addition, Bob tried to pin the mistake on his Event Coordinator for not saving the date of the other couple in all of the four file copies.Fortunately, he refunded us our deposit. But, my fiance and I are now without a hall. We have to go through the trouble of looking for another venue all over again.

Bob Manik seriously needs to rethink his position at this establishment. He is not qualified to handle business affairs, important events and definitely not money. He is f'ing up his reputation on a serious level.My family had been planning my Grandmother's 70th birthday party for some time now and decided to hold the surprise function at this location. My Aunt made the down payment needed to reserve and book the space. Come to find out (as other Yelpers stated prior) this guy Bob had another party booked the same day that would overlap with ours...1) As an event Coordinator how do you not know that you're overlapping 2 events?? (Sounds careless and unreliable)2) Again as an event Coordinator you'd have to be mad dumb to wait a week and 1/2 before the events to realize you've f'd up.Now my family is in a frenzy searching for a new location to accommodate the amount of attendees. Funny move he "tried" to pull was giving my Aunt the deposit back in a check rather than the way she initially paid. Needless to say she roasted his a** and received the funds back in it's original method. Avoid doing business with this fool by all means.

People we have just had my daughters 15 celebration on Saturday and it was the worst day ever since day one he paints u a beautiful picture but is full of lies he tells u one thing and he does another he wants to charge u for every little thing that is not in contact his own workers talk about him to customers how bad he is one of his workers ask me how much did he charge u I said the amout and they said that amount is with decorations if any one that's has been looking into renting this hall please don't do it u guys will regret it and will put yourself in to a stress mode he even made my daughter be so stressed I don't recommend this hall

This owner is the worst! Don't book your event here! He changed the contract on us the day of and had our decoration lady come all the way back from LA to pick up her things that same night when he had said she can pick up a different day. Also he gave us a hard time giving us our deposit back.

This place is shitty. Dont give your buisness to them they steal your money, waste your time, and give you a headache the whole time working with them. They made my guests rush out a half hour early cuz clean up crew wanted to clean early. Fuck yall and i hope the worst for yall too

Whatever you do, don't book this hall during the summer time! "Bob" and his employees will charge you a fee for every degree they turn down for you on the thermostat. Trash owner and trash employees.
