Midori Sushi and Grill

Still lovin this place. Finally met James after 5 years. Nice guy. Tried something new today. Ma Sun roll was great. We also went for the sushi/sashimi combo. Came in a boat! Lots of fresh sashimi. Thank you!

Surprisingly great sushi, large portions, and very friendly hostess and sushi chef. We were just passing through town and were staying at the adjacent hotel across the parking lot. Midori exceeded all of our expectations. My wife ordered the Unagi Don, which I don't think was actually on the menu. Portion was huge with two full sides of eel over rice, with delicious garnishes of ginger and pickles. Also had a combination tempura appetizer which was too much for two people, but really excellent. I ordered the chef's choice nigiri sushi dinner, which was basic but the fish was really fresh and nicely presented. This will be a regular stopping point when we pass through town.

The ambiance was nice, clean, new, and spacious. The service was friendly but very slow. I ordered a dinner combination plate and my husband ordered sushi but my dinner came out way before my husband's food. I tried to eat slowly, after he told me to start eating without him, by the time his food finally came mine was cold and I was pretty much done. My dinner combo plate was ok but not worth $39. My husband did say that his sushi and sushi roll was very good tasting, once he finally got it. All in all it was not worth the price. Sorry

We have decided this is now our go to sushi spot. You will notice it doesn't smell like fish when you walk in, (which it shouldn't), plus it's very clean & updated, unlike another popular place in town. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place to go. I recommend ordering everything you want at once, otherwise you will be there for a long time. The owners & employees are very nice & the fish is great & seems very fresh, plus we don't like seaweed, so they always make our rolls on soy paper. I forgot to take more photos, but here's one.

This To-Go platter was beautiful & each piece of Sashmi took us on a wonderful adventure! The caviar selections were absolutely exquisite, and the special Fairy tuna was absolutely a tantalizing experience! The best personalized service and fantastic sushi that melts in your mouth!

Meh. Inside is a little run down. Service is just ok. Food was just ok. All in all I don't think I would return. Our server was nice but had no idea about the.menu. food was made wrong and the atmosphere just was not very welcoming.

I've been to this restaurant a couple times now. It seems family owned and run. The decor is nice, and typical of a Japanese restaurant, in fact it would be difficult to distinguish the interior from any other Japanese restaurant. The prices are to be expected. I only experienced delicious, high quality fish at Midori.The menu is full and varied. And the staff is friendly, though sometimes harried by the lunch or dinner rush. I can recommend the: miso soup, yellowtail, salmon, red snapper, mackerel, large scallop, quail egg, as well as the shio broth ramen. I will warn customers on the Japanese fried chicken, as I found it very bland; but it does come with a spicy house sauce. It was really the only thing I found less than stellar!If you've gotten this far in my review, you might be interested to know that I've worked in a sushi restaurant before and it is very different than working in a traditional (hot) kitchen. This restaurant runs a tight ship dedicated to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to subsequent visits. (Sorry I didn't add more photos :(

The food was outstanding. I absolutely love this place. I've been here multiple times. This is my go to place for fresh sushi.Everyone is very polite. They sometimes are under staffed but that's ok with me as long as they stay in business.

The food is great, but...When you bring your own wine, which they allow, they simply hand you a corkscrew and expect you to open the bottle yourself. Per ABC, this is illegal.

Food is good. Service has been extremely slow and would be great for staff to know the menu a little better. That said James the chef at the sushi bar is sooooo friendly and made us want to keep going back!
