Michael Flooring

I would never use this company again. Installation took three and one-half days when I was told two days max. They showed up late morning everyday with the excuse of working other jobs. They damaged the plaster on walls and around door trim than conveniently did not try to fix the problem. Never again.

We had a great experience with Michael Flooring. Nehad was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and made sure we got the best pricing available. The carpet was high quality and reasonably priced, and the installation was quick and professionally completed. Highly recommend!

In the time it's taking Home Depot to return my call, Michael Flooring has consulted, come to my home and inspected, and installed brand new carpet in two rooms. Nehad knew exactly what I was looking for, answered all my questions and got me a great deal. She had a technician out to my house in a matter of hours and scheduled the install for the next day. She was quick to respond to my texts and I'm thoroughly impressed with the installation. This is a rental property, stock carpet installation. Thank you

After reading the great reviews here, my husband and I were disappointed with the service we received from Michael Flooring. While the men contracted to remove our carpets/install the flooring were professional and did a great job (we do love our floors!), our whole experience was clouded by the lack of communication throughout the entire process. Mason was our point person, and he initiated conversation just one time-- the day after the job was done, when it was time to pay the remaining balance. During this whole 3 week process, we had to either call him or come in for all updates. Example: we were asked to give 2-3 days for Mason to finalize an installation date, but it took us reaching out 3 different occasions (2 over the phone, 1 in person) to finalize this, about 2 weeks later. It was finalized in 10 minutes when he called and texted the contractors while we sat in the store. Example: we reached out 2 different occasions regarding the delivery of the quarter rounds for our painter to paint, prior to the vinyl installation. Mason dropped them off, after our paint job was already completed, so our painter offered to paint them on his day off... and our painter was the one to tell us that Mason had delivered the wrong materials (he delivered coated MDF, versus solid pine). We had hired professionals and put our trust in them to deliver the right materials/service; it was astounding that my painter had to explain to Mason that he had delivered the wrong materials. A waste of our time, and our painter's time.Lastly, I was disappointed because we had come in and spoke with Mason directly about our frustrations. While our feelings were graciously acknowledged, we ultimately did not see any change.

I have absolutely the upmost respect for this flooring store, straight to the point and honestly exceeded my expectations. I read so many reviews about other nearby flooring but they had the best reviews. Mason was aware that we lived 3 hours away but made sure he was available and always ready to take on any questions we had. Mason quoted the job to be done in 2 1/2 days but finished in 2! The floors look amazing, the transitions and borders are absolutely beautiful. It made such a huge difference to our home, we got so many compliments and already referrals for him!We decided we loved their service so much that we're re hiring them again to install the carpet upstairs! Anyways, look to speak to mason and we recommend this place 100%!!! Veteran approved, for all my military families out there too.

(2 MONTH UPDATED REVIEW): We had an absolutely terrific experience using Michael Flooring. I'll talk a little bit about that here in my review, but most of that can be found in my previous review. I mainly want to talk about how it's been holding up for the past two months and the quality of the materials. When my wife and I first walked into the design center of Michael flooring we are looking to get new vinyl floors and carpet for our house. We were first approached by Nehad, our sales person, who actually is the person that I first talk to on the phone. She did a great job by presenting us a lot of different options both with the vinyl and the carpet. She also did a very seamless job of balancing giving us direction, but then giving a space to make around informed decision after giving us all of the education we could want about the different types of products, she even will go back to her desk to give me and my wife's space to be able to make our own decisions and not feel pressured at all, which is very common to happen at places like this, which is honestly was not what I was expecting to happen, but I was greatly Surprised, and pleased that that wasn't the case here at Michael flooring! Now to the quality of the materials. The quality of the carpet and the vinyl is very high-quality with a combination of our sales persons knowledge of selecting the right type and with just the fact that they carry very high-quality choices of materials in the past two months it has held up very well. It literally looks like they installed it yesterday!The carpet we chose was the Shaw pet grade which has the R2X technology, built-in, that the carpet is treated with, with the anso nylon fibers. I didn't know that it had this in it, but I didn't realize how great this carpet actually was until we had a couple accidents with our dog. When I discovered the pet accident, it literally stayed on top of the carpet and didn't even go through it at all. Which was fantastic because I don't even know how long it was sitting there, but all I had to do was take a paper towel and lightly dab it, and it was gone like whenever I've been there before.Picking new carpet and flooring and even backsplash in your kitchen (which we also did with them) is a very important and big decision to make since it's a big financial decision. And really Michael Flooring made it very easy throughout the entire process even with a few minor hiccups that were discovered in demolition during the installation process (not their fault) and one small thing afterwards, they were so quick to go out of their way and help to make things right in an instant!They are the first ones I will be calling if I ever need new flooring again or need to recommend someone to get flooring done again that's in Kern county. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache on who to call. Just call Michael flooring!

Micheal flooring is the most irresponsible and is not a respectable establishment at all. Benny the manger or owner what ever he is lies , he employees say there going to write down thing and have them looked at and didn't . They don't return calls . There more but don't feel like waisting my time on this incompetent business . Terrible run away !

The best service!! Quality products, reasonable pricing and great customer service from Mason, Nicholas, Kiko, and their help!! I had my entire flooring redone with tile, all countertops done with granite, and a bathroom shower/tub retiled. I would definitely work with this company again!

After having laminate flooring installed throughout our house, as well as carpeting in three bedrooms, I wrote a positive review. A few months later, I have an update, which unfortunately is not positive. We have developed several dead spots in our laminate. It has become clear that these dead spots are resulting from the floor not being level in those areas. During the installation, there was no effort on the part of Michael's to make sure the floor was level prior to installation. After consulting Michael's, we were told that to do repairs, we would have to tear up vast sections of the laminate, at our expense. We would have to pay the cost of the labor as well as the replacement panels. On Youtube, we have discovered ways to target repair jobs without having to remove additional panels. It would seem reasonable that Michael's would be aware of these targeted repair methods. We are still under warranty, and it seems unreasonable that we would have to pay for the replacement panels. If Michael's had made sure that our floor was level, we would not be having this issue. As a consumer, I realize my mistake in assuming that Michael's would have made sure our floor was level prior to installation. For our $14,000 investment, we are disappointed in Michael's response to our situation. Michael C.
