Mesa Mexican Grill

Came to Mesa on Thursday 9/26/2024. Ordered a salad and a burrito. The gentleman helping me burnt the tortilla 2 times while making my order. He then did NOT put any chicken on my salad and I still paid for it. (Did not catch until I got home). I have called repeatedly and spoken to different people who work there about my refund and all they tell me is the manager doesn't ever come into work and that they will try to get ahold of him and her. I just want my money back at this point. I am so upset with the service I have received considering I come here quite often. I will not be coming back and will tell everyone about this experience. Extremely disappointed and upset with Mesa. Please see my salad for photo of no chicken. Might I add, we live in CA and they have raised their prices astronomically. My total was about $30 for these two items.

It's been awhile since I've been here. I ordered the Better than Chipotle Shrimp tacos. Daaaang!! They were amazing!! So delicious!! Will definitely be my "go to" from now on. I also ordered a chili verde quesadilla. Very disappointed. It was so thin, it looked like I got a cheese quesadilla...No meat. Once I opened it up I saw the tiny tiny bit of chili verde and it was dry dry dry. Looked burnt even. I don't know if they gave me the last of the meat off the day or what, but it was dry, tasteless and not worth it. I would not call this a meat quesadilla.... It's a cheese quesadilla and as they walked it past the grill, a piece of someone else's order fell off into my quesadilla. Not happy.

We love taking our family here or going with a large group of friends. It's always clean. Their service is great and friendly! We really enjoy the variety of food options. Everything is fresh and tasty. I always get a bowl with Barbacoa. The yellow bellies are good too! In the summer, it does get too warm. Outdoor seating is nice when the weather is right.

Last visit there were a few minor issues that weren't that big of a deal, this visit was really a steep drop from what I experienced last time. I went in about 2 hours before closing the staff barely even acknowledged me as I entered. The two guys working definitely acted like they'd rather be anywhere other than working at Mesa that night. I had a quesarito with the spicy shredded beef. He left it on the warmer a bit too long, it wasn't burnt but it was teetering on the edge of it and I could taste it. My wife's bowl was the real disaster, she's vegetarian so I told them it was a veggie bowl. I asked him for grilled veggies in it and he said they didn't have any. I asked if they were making any and he said no because they were closing soon....I guess 2 hours away is close enough to stop cooking. I then asked about mushrooms, nope out of those too. My wife basically got a rice and bean bowl with some pico and corn. The guy couldn't make it fast enough he broke the sound barrier trying to rush the order so he could go back to the back area where he was when I entered. The food was messily put together, lacking flavor and they were missing some menu items that only take a few minutes to make. Save your time and money and head to Victor's or even Chipotle, both far outshine what Mesa is doing right now.

Quick and easy I love this place is the only Baja food place I will eat At. It is the only place (Chipotle & Victors ...Mehhh)That doesn't make my stomach upset when I'm done eating it. The service is always great. When certain staff are on the shift, some of the staff are pretty moody with substitutions.. I usually notice when they're there and I let somebody skip me in line if they're about to serve me. Not that they have a major problem with me however it might be me. I doubt that very seriously it is definitely them, but I know better than to have them serve my food and as usual I have no problem the place is always clean & the Horchata probably some of the best I've had next to the Vallarta market. There mango and corn salsa make everything taste better. I suggest you try it on anything you get there. So that's it for me they've never been let down and I appreciate them being close to my house.. not really they usually take my money twice a week when I should probably be eating at home but you can't be good food for a great price so I'll keep coming back.

Absolutely will NOT be back! Everything they cook on is filthy. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Got a burrito & the rice and beans in it were ice cold. Highly do not recommend. It used to be a great place, but this is the third order in a row that's not good. I give this place one star because you have to choose a star. 30$ for two burritos down the drain!

Very good. Server was exceptional. Food was similar to national chain...but was cut below. Reasonable but not exceptional. We will return.

One of my go-to spots for a quick meal and usually find the experience to be good. The place has a casual atmosphere, typical of fast food establishments.The staff were efficient and polite, taking my order quickly and accurately. The food was served pretty fast - its sort of like a subway for mexican-style food with the typical American influence. I usually order the Mahi Mahi burrito bowl which was prepared as expected. White rice, with half black beans and half pinto, greens x2 , diced jalapeños, corn and tomatoes. The portion size was reasonable, and the flavors were consistent with the menu description. Habanero salsa on the side because it's so spicy, and very tasty. The employee, I believe her name is Adrianna, was very polite and happy, adding to the overall quality atmosphere. She is helpful and friendly: speaks clearly, repeats the item selected for assurance, and helps out if the avocados aren't quite ripe! She especially helped out during my previous visit there. Same order, but prepared by a different employee who made my order improperly - Adrianna showed authenticity, was attentive and helped with remaking the order. Overall, this place is a quick and pleasant dining experience with good service and food quality in line with expectations for a fast food restaurant. Pricing is fair. It's a reliable option for a fast and convenient meal on a more healthier side depending on your selections. I am so sad to be writing this but I used to love Mesa. It was such good quality, always clean, and great customer service. I am not sure what happened but it has gone down hill. The food does not taste like it used to. It's dirty in there. Staff does not acknowledge you. It's the complete opposite of what I remember! Also, there was no point in the drive thru! It doesn't make sense for a place like this. My steak was so dry. I couldn't eat my burrito. Someone needs to save this place or it's not going to last...

I absolutely love the food, it's awesome, but WOW does the service suck. I am a drive thru person, and I have never consistently had such rude employees help me before. First when you order, you are told to wait a moment, close to 5 minutes later they speak and ask what you would like.You order.... then you drive to the window to pay and you wait, 2-3 minutes for them to acknowledge that you are there and take your money.Then you (you guessed it!). you wait!They hand you your food, ask if you need a receipt and shut the window. No thank you, no nothing. Again, I love the food, but man does the service suck, idk who owns this place, and if they read this, but please do something about your service levels and employees.
