Mercy Hospital Emergency Department

I love working here.! It's an amazing place all the people are so beautiful so helpful so loving so caring thank you mercy hospital for letting me join the team

The nurses give up so easily to make the patient feel better. Consistently dismissing pain and telling the patient other people have the same thing and they aren't in pain post surgery because of the block given. Not catching allergies and then down playing it. No wonder they have a crappy rating.

Went to the Urgent Care to be seen and after an hour there was told I needed to go to ER so we made an appointment online to be seen at ER. Check in was great the nurse actually called me in the phone before we got to the ER and took all my information. Once we arrived I was immediately taken back to see the PA. She ordered labs and then after that told me the doctor needed to see me and he would be available shortly. Well apparently at this point the PA went home and failed to tell the doctor I was waiting so I sat for four hours. The nurse who was taking care of my room also didn't know the doctor had not been told so she thought he had gotten called in on a patient that had passed and was being held up. I arrived at 7:40pm and left at 1:30am. The nursing staff was great it wasn't their fault. It would have been perfect if the PA had done her job.

Came at 10 didn't leave til 4am. Crappy service. Very slow. Inefficient. Bums come in and stink up the place. Damn ridiculous.

Do yourself a favor and go to a different ER. We have tried on multiple occasions day time late evening, and there is always extremely long wait times. Staff generally are not receptive to your presence and seem annoyed that your sick. Go to Memorial Hospital ER. The drive is worth it and it seems there are more specialist available.

My roommate fell in the street about a week ago. The ambulance took him to Mercy Hospital, because the back of his head was bleeding. He had a bunch of tests, etc. He got a prescription for a antibiotic, supposedly he had bronchitis. Upon looking at his release paperwork, his weight is 135, and BP was 160/95. I know he doesn't weigh 135, closer to over 200 llbs. Is the scale at Mercy not working? Anyone can look at him and know he doesn't weigh 135? Also, I'm pretty sure er doctors can prescribe different meds? Is bp is a concern, why wasn't he prescribed bp meds? This hospital is a joke, if you value your life, do not go here.

Worst place ever rudest doctor and nurses while I was in pain I would rather die than be in a place that supports that behavior Go anywhere else Anywhere else Nurse was rude as soon and he met me told him how I was feeling and shrugged and said "So" After I confronted him for his behavior he threatened to make me wait outside for hours before being treated Patient right next to me got treated the same way we both were not taken seriously by the same person

Went with my sister to take our 87 year old mom who has cancer and is on chemo because she wasn't drinking or eating. We got there around 7 and the enviroment is such a sensory nightmare (ASD, but how anyone takes it I don't know) that I had to leave my sister there to stay with my mom. It is now 10:32 and my high risk for dying of covid, very ill mother is still sitting out in the waiting room, more dehydrated than when she got there, still waiting and waiting in the waiting room. And she currently has trouble sitting up for long periods of time without being in pain.

DO NOT GO HERE. My friend came in with an allergic reaction about to die nearly, couldn't breathe, dizzy, neck pain, throwin up, falling over, etc. and had to sign in and sit the waiting room for like 15 minutes. No nurse came down to help. Not the big deal. After he finally was brought up to be treated they accused him of being on something instead of trying to fix the issue. IF HE WAS ON SOMETHING I MYSELF AND HIM WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM. So instead of helping they resorted to finding ways of seeing if he was on drugs. Sobriety tests, tests, etc. They did not care about the severity of the situation at all, and just treated him like he was fine. I am currently sitting in my car, no idea how my friend is doing, because no visitors are allowed. The last text he sent me was "they think I'm on something" and haven't heard from him since. Very dire and scary situation they treated terribly. Terrible hospital and I feel as though the treatment is viable for a law suit. I know no one is reading reviews when an emergency is happening but if u do see this, do not go here.

Nasty dirty place!!! The supposedly doctor on duty was very rude!!! Never again will I come to this ER!!! Everyone that's here looks like they're mad about being here!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND GO TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL!! Unsanitary
