When I saw only a few stars it scared me to hire them. When I read the reviews the bad ones were from people that didn't even do business with them. I'm so glad I ignored the stars because my venue looked amazing! When I walked in I was speechless. It's hard to impress my hubby he was definitely impressed. They did an amazing job. Their prices are very low compare to other vendors. Don't overlook this vendor. You'll get a great deal and you'll have an amazing wedding. Thank you Mellanie's design.

They are amazing! they did my wedding and my sisters wedding. I fell in love with these chair covers and we could not fit them in our budget but when I got to the venue the chair covers are there Henrick threw them in as a gift he was so accommodating and easy to work with and their prices are amazing!! I see all these bad reviews that's unfortunate because we received excellent service.

It is closed. Have been for about a year. Take the website down!! It was a huge waste of time for me, as I have to rent supplies soon.

I found Mellanie Party Design online and decided to rent a dance floor from them for my wedding because of their very reasonable pricing. I contacted them in March of 2014, signed a contract and went on my way. As my August 30th wedding approached, I called them to confirm my final payment on the dance floor and then informed me that they could not find my initial invoice. After calling them multiple times (yes I am the bride) to find out if they eventually found my invoice, I then let my planner take over. Henrik accused us of not ever signing a contract when in fact we had and my planner sent him the invoice showing that both parties had signed it in March. He was BEYOND rude and unaccommodating, saying to our planner "Don't push me" and "Don't play hard ball with me" when in fact he and his company were at fault for losing the contract. He did not follow up with my planner to help us find a dance floor when he and his business were in the wrong, he did not apologize and try to find a solution and we were 2 days until the wedding. As you can imagine as a bride, this was a panic moment for me. This vendor exhibited NO professionalism and they were not willing to help find a solution even though they were at fault. I would not recommend anyone use this company for a rental. Clearly, you get what you pay for...or what you don't pay for.

I used Mellanie for my wedding 2 weeks ago. I rented 160 silver Chivari chairs and a cake stand. Their prices were great! I worked with Robert, he was very helpful and they delivered and picked up as promised the day of the wedding. Will definitely use them for any future party rentals needed and I recommend them :-)

Run Away as fast as you can to any other party rental business..there are hundreds in Glendale. Hired this company to do the rentals for my wedding earlier this year and it seemed like it was too good to be true...their rentals were in great shape and his prices affordable. However, come the day of the wedding.. not only does he hassle me about the time of delivery but the products he delivers is not what is presented to you in the showroom. (Nonstop complaints from my guests about how flat the seat cushions were). Then after the event, in order to make some money off my security deposit, he claims that chairs were broken but cannot produce said chair for me to see for myself. Last time I checked, it was a wedding not a frat party where chairs get tossed around and broken. Dishonest and unprofessional... would not do business again.

Unprofessional! I called these people because their prices are super low! Well now I know why. I called for a quote and I spoke to Henrik. He said they needed exact numbers for the draping and to email him. I emailed him the next morning. Three days went by and nothing. I called him back and he said he hadn't seen my email and he would look for it and email me back. I received an email a day later stating that he had just seen my email and either him or someone else would call me the next day and that he didn't call sooner cause he was extremely busy. Never heard from him or anyone else. No email no call no nothing! Well if you're really that busy, which I highly doubt, I will take my money elsewhere!

Great prices yes, services... What service??? I can't seem to get a hold of them. I have been trying for months by e-mail & phone. I talked to some guy a few times with a thick accent who apparently only knows how to say one phrase, "Sorry, we are closed please call back." Ah, sorry dude a bride can only hear that so many times before she looses interest in the company. One thing is for sure, customer service skills are seriously lacking. =(

Seriously, I am so happy I found Mellanie Party Design. I was so stressed because I had to let our original choice for rentals go because of horrible communication and lack of professionalism (see my review for Vigens Rentals), but then I found Mellanie. It was a little intimidating meeting with Henrick because he is a very confident and straight forward guy. Because of what had happened with my previous vendor I had my guard up but Henrick kept reassuring me that he would take care of everything for an unbelievable price. He worked with our budget, giving us many options for our ceiling drapery and we agreed on one that fit our theme and budget at the same time. When the wedding drew closer, I started to get fearful of them adding surprise charges and issues with installation, but I was stressing for no reason. We got permission from our reception venue to install the ceiling drapery the night before and to deliver all the chairs, tables, bar etc, and everything went as planned without a hitch. His staff really knows what they are doing. The chairs for my ceremony arrived on time and looked beautiful. I did not get to see anything before hand, so when I walked down the aisle it was just as I imagined, maybe better. When we finally got to the reception, I was extremely impressed. The drapery worked great with our warehouse wedding theme and the lights bounced off of them beautifully just as Henrick had told us it would. We saved tons of money going with Mellanie Rentals and Party design and we didn't have to sacrifice quality. I would definitely recommend using this company.
