Mas Bella Restaurant & Lounge

Came here after my visit with urgent care, picked up my medicine, (diagnosed with the flu), it's going around right now. I knew I needed soup, but didn't want the can kind. I kept my distance when I went in and ordered pozole to go. The gentleman was very helpful and kind. It didn't take long at all. I have to say it was some of the best pozole I've had. I saved the broth for later.

Blake, my server, took great care of me this evening. I had their Bao Bun tacos. These are such a yummy fusion of the airy light Bao 'tortilla' and your choice of filling, I had the savory carnitas. Served with house made pickled red onions and red & green sauces. The great service and presentation of their food & drink only adds to make a delightful ding experience, With food that is the freshest quality. For a great meal, pleasant atmosphere and always attentive service I highly recommend Mas Bella.

Here is another place you should not go to because I do not want to share it.The vibe is super chill. The gold and black motif that runs throughout the place adds to the cozy yet elegant vibe.The food and cocktails were delicious. My friend got the Caramel Old Fashioned. I am not a big whiskey drinker, but that is her go drink. I tasted it, and it was an experience Epicurus himself would long for. Like all whiskey it hits you hard and fast, but just as quickly mellows to warm carmel notes. These Carmel notes dance in your mouth with the chocolate notes from the bitters. It is a taste experience that lingered beyond the first sip. I'm glad I tasted it.I got the Tulum Bloom, a vodka lychee drink, and it did not disappoint. If you like lychee, this is an amazing drink. If you have never had lychee, and want to know what it tastes like, this is the drink for you. This was even ordered by my friend as her second drink of the night. The garnish of a purple pansy, brought out some purple hues that we did not notice on the first round. It was lovely. My second beverage was Strawberry Sunset. If you have ever asked what summer tastes like, this is your drink. This is what summer tastes like. Memories of childhood, playing outside all day, eating freezer pops, sucking on strawberry Jolly Ranchers, and going down to the corner store to get a strawberry Slushy came flooding back after my first sip. It was hard for me to not suck it down.I am a strong believer that dessert, on occasion, should be enjoyed first. That we did tonight! We had the Churros á la Mode. This is the third time I have had this dessert. I dream about this dessert, and it's deliciousness haunts me. The churros are fried to perfection. They are crispy, cinnamony sweet on the outside, and warm and creamy on the inside. They are topped with a light drizzle of carmel, and accompanied by home made salted carmel ice cream. The ice cream, in its self, is enough to make you go weak in the knees, but the combination is to die for. I would order just the ice cream, it is so good. I would write more, but we all have short attention spans. Kudos to you if you made it this far. All of the food is really, really good. Please, whatever you do, don't try this place. So far, it is easy to get in on a Friday night, and not crazy loud. I would hate to mess that up.

Went for a light lunch. Definitely love the vibe they have. Food was great and very flavorful. Enjoyed am micholada with lunch. Service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely come here again and maybe try happy hour.

Wow what a surprise! This is a restaurant tucked away in some new development on Buena Vista. It is one of the most beautiful, polished restaurants. Every table has fresh flowers, each with a different vase. It is dark, cozy, and quiet. The waitress is the owner's sister, she was really helpful with the menu. I started off with the shrimp cocktail, really delicious. Then the taco and enchilada had amazing presentation. The pork taco had a tangy sauce, and enchiladas had a nice chile verde sauce. Very happy with the food! I will definitely bring my wife here for a date night.

Five Star service, $7 margarita Mondays, delicious Chicken Fajitas with guacamole and chips. Nice night out.

Mas Bella has lovely esthetics but I feel, sadly, that's all this place offers.The chips they give you while you wait are cold, oily, and unsalted. The salas was okay in flavor with more emphasis on the spice level. We ordered the sizzling fajitas and the enchilada taco plate. Both plates were hot and pretty bland. My fajitas were over salted, making up for the lack of salt on the chips. The taco and enchilada were just okay and mostly bland.We also order a strawberry sunset and a Mexican greyhound for drinks. The greyhound is served in an aptly themed cup and has a wonderful smoke flavor. With that said, it was more on the sweet side, almost too sweet and I also felt like it was lacking in alcohol. The same could be said for the strawberry sunset, overly sweet with little alcohol.As far as the wait staff goes, it's kind of awkward. Just about everyone came up to us to provide service and it made it hard to distinguish who was our server. We placed a drink order with one and then another came by and asked if we wanted anything. Shortly after that another waiter came by and asked if we were ready to order drinks. We informed them that we had already ordered drinks and they asked us with who and seemed to be slightly annoyed. This was kind of the theme the entire night.Also note they have different menus for lunch and dinner. So make sure if you're looking at their menu to decide ahead of time that you're picking for the meal time you'll be dining at.Overall for the price of the food and drinks, it's just okay and lacks flavors. Nothing wowed us or even enticed us to want to go back.

Came for happy hour/taco Tuesday so reviewed is based on that. Really enjoyed both the carnitas and el pastor tacos and the pickled onion added the perfect amount of acidity. Not sure I would pay full price for the tacos but at 2.50 I am in. Sat at the bar and a couple of observations: every drink that was prepared was batched ahead of time, big fan of trader joes's mezcal but was surprised to see it on their shelf. For happy hour the well drinks are 6 and at that price the margaritas were great. Their signature cocktails were more of a disappointment especially the caramel old fashioned which was way too sweet. Will come back for taco Tuesday

Went for a nice dinner before winter formal. We went a little after sun down, and the lighting and overall atmosphere was very pleasing. Our server was super sweet, and checked on our table a lot. I favored the atmosphere, and I enjoyed the food just as much. Very filling and delicious food!

They tried to charge me $36 for two margaritas . Told me there was an up charge for squeezing limes?
