THE BEST MEXICAN SEAFOOD IN ALL OF BAKERSFIELD. There I said it. Don't sleep on this place if your a mariscos fan, they have been truly been serving up AMAZING QUALITY MEXICAN Marisco for years and I appreciate the consistency. I have been coming here since 2017 and not once have they disappointed. The menu here is quite extensive. They have all kinds of marisco dishes here, even cheeseburgers for the kids lol. This past visit I decided to go with the Fish tacos and they were SPECTACULAR. 10/10! Fish was so fresh and the taco was BOLD in flavors. I also got a tostada of shrimp ceviche and it also was a 10/10. The portion of food versus the price is also very good. Overall, I love this place. Come support this local Bakersfield buisness! They are truly great and I am very thankful of their warm hospitality each time I visit. GRACIAS La Casuela por todo! Till next time!

I was taken to this place by a lifelong Bakersfield Mexican to show me the real Mexican Seafood.The restaurant is very nice, the patio was surrounded by cast iron with drapes, a perfect indoor and outdoor place. The waitress had a big warm smile and food and drinks came quickly. I had the "casserole" cold with escargot, octopus, and shrimp. It comes with a tangy spicy sauce, topped with fried chili flakes. Wow this dish brought the heat. But it was so good. I had fish taco on the side, which was delicious, creamy, in a golden corn tortilla. Everyone absolutely loved all their food. Highly recommend.

After a particularly busy day , I needed a bit of a break . I stopped in not knowing what to expect . The inside is brightly colored and well lit. The restaurant is cozy and clean. The staff inside are extremely kind. I was seated and given a menu . I was looking for a drink and selected the Jamaica. Since I was already there I also got a fried shrimp tostada . The shrimp is boiled not fried . The Jamaica is sweet and refreshing. The tostada is delicious and filled with shrimp and toppings . I'd like to visit again and actually sit and try a meal .

The best place for Mariscos. Our number one place to go to. Food is always delicious and service is spot on.

not worth it !! make sure you check you're order before leaving the premises... asked for my order of half dozen empanadas prepared but got them plain , they managed to charge me $25 even though they got my order messed up ...

The loaded shrimp empanadas were delicious! If they were not dressed up with cabbage, sour cream, and other greens they would otherwise seem dry. I ordered the green aguachiles, but I could not eat the shrimp, unfortunately. They were raw and there was a dark vein running through most of them. Also ordered a side of beans and they were ok (maybe they would have tasted better with cheese). Based on the other reviews, I must try this place again when visiting Bakersfield, because they had some other menu items only found on costal Mexican towns, like the pescado zarandeado. I was advised to order ahead because it takes about 45 minutes to prepare. Service was great, restaurant was clean, they had outdoor seating, and the menu was big.

Now this place let the seafoodd talk for itself!! Super fresh and vibrant. Very humble staff and delicious home feel to the food. Good job Bakersfield!

I went here to check it out with some friends, and let me tell you we all were very disappointed . We are people that don't mind spending good $ on good food but this place was not cheap and it was very disappointing that #1 the shrimp was very very dirty i could taste all the dirt .#2 the octopus tasted gross probably cause it was dirty too. #3 the juice in the ceviche and aguachile was stomach turning ( because it literally made my stomach turn). #4the lime juice they use is not from real lime is from a processed bottled lime juice!! What in the world who in their right mind thinks using bottled lime juice makes that Authentic MEXICAN STRAIGHT FROM NAYARIT FOOD! Hell nah never!! I would be embarrassed to serve that s*** to anyone!! I really don't leave reviews but I have to warn people! Don't go here!
