Magoos Pizza

Have not tried Magoo's I a little while and decided to call and order. Phoned a little after 5pm Saturday evening and the call was promptly answered. Ordered a large pepperoni, small cheese, large wedges. $43 (I'll leave my politics out of it but you can't blame the businesses for mandatory insurance and inflated minimum wage). 25 minutes later I took the order home and the family was happy. Pepperoni - very good. Cheese - pretty good. Wedges - FREAKING AMAZING! Especially with the home style fresh ranch. So good. Pros : close by so the cost negates that cost of driving towards town for pizza. Friendly service. Cons : price but again, it's the world we live in.

Best pizza and chicken in Bako, hands down! I used to live in Bakersfield for many years and Magoos was my go-too place for pizza. So every time I am back in town to visit I make it a point to order from here. The chicken and wedges are amazing, as well.

It's my every Friday treat for my boys and I. They have a 1 lg 1 piping 8 pc chicken and wedges 2 liter special for $40 that you CANNOT beat. Pizza is always cheesy and tasty but the chicken and wedges. Holy crap the chicken and wedges!!!! They even give you a big ol' cup of some really tasty ranch to dip to your tummy's content! The fried chicken has this spicy and flavorful seasoning that I love. The wedges are logs that have the same seasoning and are always deep fried perfection.

Somehow, we didn't know this was here until about 4 months ago. We used to order from the one that was on rosedale until it closed. My husband and I compromise perfectly on magoos pizza. I like less crust, and he likes a lot, and it's right in the middle. Chester's wedges are life. Whoever made this batter and process is really not living up to their potential to sell these delectable wedges more widespread. They have like a fried chicken batter and we can't get enough. The ranch is baaaaaummmb. I'm such a ranch snob and I literally don't eat pizza and wedges without ranch. I drench my stuff in this ranch. Mmmmm, and it comes in the huge containers, not the tiny 1-2 ounce cups that I can't fully dip my pizza in. We have only ordered deliver, three times now. Gets delivered around the time they give and they happily deliver to gossamer grove, where only Rusty's and zeppos had previously. YAAAAASSSSS

Everybody in my household loves this place. In these hard times of Bidenomics such as inflation and shrinkflation, how can people afford food delivery services is beyond me and I just refuse to use those expensive food delivery services. This place is so convenient and nearby my place that I can pickup my order. I'm part of their rewards so I get a discount. We love the pizza with extra cheese that covers all the way to the crust, the chicken, and the garlic cheese bread. The employees always greet us and makes us feel welcomed.

Love this place! My new favorite is the Indian style veggie! The workers are always friendly..especially the older white man(wish I knew his name). I come here at least once a week and never disappoints

The pizza is great but the wait is always so long. Usually 45 minutes. Wish they had an actual restaurant with more employees

Let just say the potato wedges and ranch bring us back time and time again. Sometimes we just get those. The pizza is mediocre and we never get more than a small because nobody wants more than a piece. Maybe one person will eat 2. The chicken and wedges are very good if it's fresh. The service really depends on who's working. The last time there were 4 teenagers and they were talking, eating and on phones instead of helping customers. Usually the service is better though. Definitely go for wedges though.

Great Pizza, Chicken & Wedges and Great Service!I order a large pepperoni pizza and a 8 piece chicken & wedges. Which I think is a great deal for the price. The staff that works every time I go there, are super nice and we now only order from them.Thank you for making great food and keep up the good work!

Last night we were feeling lazy. Both the wife and i had long days and too tired to cook. PIZZA it is. We like Magoos and generally have great service so that's our go to. Ordered and was told 45 mins. Cool. The 45 mins passed and at about an hour i thought about calling to check on The order. We weren't starving and were watching the boobtube. I heard a knock and glanced at the ring app. Yup. Pizza time. I asked our adult son to go get it. I was trapped in my recliner by a large sleeping dog. I always pay cash and had left the money and tip by the door. The son opened the door and the driver immediately apologized for being late. Son to told no sweat. Handed him the cash and and tip. I always tip. The person delivering is rarely the cause and he were a few mins late anyway. The young man said "I'm late. I can't accept a tip and it's too much anyway (i overtip. Generally 20% My Money my choice). He tried to hand the excess back to my son. He knows me and laughed. He told the young man "that guy in there won't let me take it back. It's how he is" (proud of my son). The driver stood there asking "are you sure?!" My boy just said "have a nice night". And closed the door. The driver stood on the porch for a couple mins. I was watching on the ring cam. He was shaking his head and folded the money and placed it in his pocket. He then went to his car, sat for a second then Left. From watching the young mans body language and listening to the exchange between my son and he i got the feeling he was expecting to be berated because it took a bit longer than expected. We ate. The pizza was great. Wedges were good. A little spicy but still good. I'm giving them 4/5 stars only because they were a little late but that's it. After being in the hospitality/restraunt/bar business for coming up on two decades, i understand that things go wrong. And generally speaking it's rarely the fault of one person. And it's rarely the person standing in front of you. Please. Be kind.
