This is a neighborhood parked all tucked away in the Madison Grove housing tract off of Norris Road. There are two tennis courts and two basketball courts. They have men and women restrooms that were fairly clean. There is small play area for children and a small water park with push button water release at each water feature. There is a large covered dining area with several picnic tables. This is a small, quaint, and clean neighborhood park.

Madison Grove Park, located on the West side of Norris Road between Snow Rd and Calloway Ave, is one of the nicest parks I have visited in Bakersfield, and at 12 acres it is pretty good sized. There is a large grassy field on which to play sports. There is a basketball court. There was even a volleyball net strung up in the grassy area just behind the basketball court. There is a large covered area with four long picnic tables (spotlessly clean) and two large charcoal grills located convenient between the playground area and the public restrooms. You can reserve this area, which has a capacity of 80, for your group by contacting the NOR Parks & Recreation District at 392-2010 and filling out an application that you can download here http://norfun.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/FR-100-Use-of-Facility-Online-Packet.pdfThere is a water feature/Spray Park which is open from 12-4 seven days a week during the summer; yes, the hours have been cut back because of the drought but this is still a place that families can come to have fun and keep cool during the hot Bakersfield summers. There are two play structures and even a rock climbing wall with swings all over a cushioning layer of bark to prevent injuries. Bark is much better than sand as neighborhood cats are less likely to confuse it with a large cat box.The public restrooms are not the traditional men's and women's; instead there are four individual bathrooms. They are very clean and well stocked with toilet paper. All in all an excellent park in a very safe neighborhood

Maybe a nice place to cool off but with everybody complaining about water usage and water shortages all the water the use of this part goes directly down the drain there is no recycling also there is no sterilization or sanitation done on a daily basis not the cleanest of facilities

A beautiful park, lots of green space, tennis courts, basketball court, and a cool playground. This is an ideal place for a gathering with friends and family, or just to have a good time. Definitely would recommend checking this place out.

A hidden gem! You probably would never know about this park unless you lived on Norris Rd directly between Calloway and Snow Rd. I only came upon it during one of my morning runs. The park is huge. They have a large open field plenty big enough for multiple games of soccer, football or softball. They also have a large covered picnic area, bathrooms, tennis courts and play area with tons of things to climb and enjoy for the kids. It's also far enough away from the heavily trafficked streets to be quiet and relaxing. This will definitely be my go-to park from here on out.
