Los Tacos De Huicho

Glad to be working back downtown! My favorite taco joint is still serving up that good ol' street tacos with the same taste as I remember them! Can't go wrong with Al pastor tacos and this place serves up the best in my book. Never mind the sketch location, Los Tacos De Huicho has a great open dining room with plenty of seats. The best place about this place is the condiment bar. There are 3 salsas to choose from, and did I say, still same great taste from 10 years ago?! The pickled red onions and the blistered Serrano chilis are always a must! Coming here next time for the flautas and maybe some sopes! Muy delicioso!

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered a burrito with two types of meat and a breakfast sandwich to go. When I got to my destination and started eating the burrito, I discovered that only one type of meat was included, despite being charged nearly $6 for the second meat I didn't receive. I called the restaurant to let them know, but the lady on the phone insisted they put both meats in the burrito, even though I was clearly eating one with only one meat. She wasn't very polite about the mistake, and when I explained I was miles away, she told me to bring the burrito back, which was unreasonable.To make matters worse, while waiting for my order, I saw another customer order a shrimp and meat burrito for $17.01. He changed his mind to just an al pastor burrito, which costs $11.99, but they still charged him as if he had ordered two types of meat. This made me question their honesty and fairness with pricing. In the end, I paid $34 for a burrito and a torta, which felt very overpriced for what I received.Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. Be cautious with your orders, as their service and pricing seem inconsistent and questionable.PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS

I consider this one of the TOP OG taco spots in Bakersfield. They have been here for 35-40+ years and any they have been serving truly amazing and authentic Mexican food. My family has been coming here since then and the consistency has always been great. Just recently I stopped by for a couple tacos, a sope and some rice and beans. Menu is the same it has always been, great variety with really amazing prices. To top it off, the portions are HUGE here for the price. The star of the show for me has always been their fish tacos. They are battered and cooked to perfection and the flavor is AMAZING. The taco of chile verde was also great, so much flavor. Rice and beans tasted great and very authentic. The sope I also tried was also GREAT. I kid you not, everything I had was a 10 out of 10. Anthentic Mexican food at its finest. Overall, beyond pleased with my meal. Already can't wait to come back and visit them again. Thank you Huichos for being consistently great and feeding my family after all these years. You guys are great! Make sure if your in the area, you check these guys out. You defenitly won't regret coming on by.

Taco lovers, listen up! Did you know that prices at our favorite spot have gone up again? Tacos are now $2.79 each, up from $2.59. Quality is still top-notch, but it's good to stay informed.

The tacos were lacking a little bit of flavor, the portions were a little small for the price. Place was clean indoors. Outdoor had cat poop next to the patio & it smelled bad. We ordered a shrimp taco and got fish but staff were nice enough to replace it. Staff was helpful & professional. I wouldn't recommend the food due to the price

Great, very clean Mexican food! Tacos, nachos, burritos but hands down top sopes in SoCal and I'll put money on it! A must try on your SoCal taco tour for sure!!! The service is always friendly and restaurant is always clean!! The only con is the location seems a little sketchy at night so just FYI but it also adds to the legitimacy a little so I guess it works!

They could improve their customer service by a lot. We asked a question regarding if it's self seating or how do we order with them. The lady maybe the owner not sure but she answered rude. My dad wanted to order tripa extra crispy she rolled her eyes rude and responded rude to my dad that it's already crispy. The sitting area smelled really bad like #2. I still tried my best to give them a chanc3 We went to wash our hands the sink was clogged and smelled. My dad let the cashier know and she yelled at my dad asking if we wanted our money back. My dad just said that he was just letting her know. I told her that we actually do want our money back her attitude was horrible we do not recommend this restaurant.

I have been coming to this spot for years and I hope they stick around. They literally have the BEST FISH TACOS in Bakersfield. If you haven't been here then you need to come. Is it in a sketchy area, um yeah kinda. But all the best taco spots are! My husband LOVED the pastor tacos and he is extremely picky. Keep serving up the great food!

The food is great but they need to add napkin dispensers on the tables, not just a stack next to the register that you need to grab yourself. The salsa station is in the wrong place between the door and the ordering counter. They also don't have small plastic containers for the salsa, you have to just pour your salsa on your food after you've picked it up, and go back with your plate if you need more.
