Los Reyes Market

Los Reyes is a decent market with a fantastic Panadería and an even better restaurant. They pass the test of a try authentic Mexican restaurant. No yellow cheese. We went in the other day for lunch because we were driving around Bakersfield bored looking for early lunch or late breakfast. The Enchilada plate had two giant enchiladas with super juicy shredded chicken inside and their rich and slightly spicy enchilada sauce outside. My wife's plate of Costillas (ribs) melted off the bone and were in a beautiful Chile Colorado sauce. Order a Taco de Tripas and tell them you want it "bien doradito". Crispy and clean tripe. That's what you get. Value is really good if you're willing to go out of your way a bit.

If you want the best anything come here!!! To say the least everything about this market is to love the decorations (I'm from Mexico and I can tell you everything that is in this store has a meaning to my culture) , the people and customer service (they will go above and beyond to help you get the best thing for you personally, the butchers helped me determine what was the best meat for the time of meal I was making and it turned out amazing!), the food ( from the food they have there to take home all ready to eat, to the quality of: meant, cheese, cream, bread. Everything you can tell it's of high quality). I could talk wonders about this food Mexican market for ages but to make it easy for you I will list off things I have gotten here that I have come back for time and time again! - pierna de pollo sin hueso preparada ( marinated chicken leg with no bone)-queso de cubeta (fresh cheese "de cubeta")-chicharrones-agua fresca de pepino (cucumber Mexican water) -frijoles refritos (refried beans) -savila (aloe Vera - I put it in my hair to help it grow) -tacos de carnitas (carnita tacos) Anyway, I hope you can try some of these things because you won't regret it! I won't be shopping for my groceries anywhere else! By far the best market!

Great food very polite and helpful staff personally enjoy the MENUDO AND POZOLE great authentic taste.

$5 for a bottle of coffee creamer? $3 for a can of dog food? I don't know how they stay in business. Price tag don't lie.

Los reyes market is a fine establishment everyone there seems to be really nice and the place is spotless and every clean inside and out the bakery is trash and an employee by the name of Janette is a inconsiderate human being that tries to act like she's the owner or manager of the place! Quick tip for this establishment get rid of the the rotten apples it will only hurt your business. I can truly say she has made my experience at this establishment unpleasant and myself nor my family will be coming back again! If I could give this stores customer service a negative star I would in a heartbeat

They have an amazing menudo on Saturday and Sunday, $9.99 for 32 oz oh my, better than homemade. The carnitas are so delicious as well, the rice tray is worth it, for the price and flavor, please stop by and try.

When I went in here it was good but so much flies in the food and pan dulce area. The flies kept getting on the pan dulce and they still out that inside to sell they don't throw it away.

I've been coming here since the beginning of the year and the customer service has always been excellent. Although the last couple of times I've been there the same young lady with blonde hair always seems so bothered when I need help or ask a question. I'll just steer away from her and ask the young ladies at the registers with the dark hair.

Service was a little slow and variety of food. Good portions daily deals will go back. Carnitas and chili Verde was my favorite.

I go for their pan dulce, always moist, soft and perfectly sweet, wish it was a bit cheaper, but I love their mantecadas and cortadillos de pastel, hope they include a pink color or a loaf size serving
