Yum!! My colleague suggested this place and I was like, "why not??" I love a good food truck. We passed it the first time, so keep your eyes peeled. I ordered the taco plate with one grilled fish and one seasoned pork taco. We had to wait a bit, but that was because of a fairly big order in front of ours. Well, it was worth the wait. The grilled fish was excellent and the seasoned pork was super delicious! I also enjoyed the beans, although I wasn't quite as excited by the rice. Honestly, this hit the spot after a long drive through Death Valley.

We passed by this food truck in an empty lot that was at least a quarter mile south of the main stretch of Lone Pine. We were looking for a quick, simple dinner before our Whitney summit attempt. The menu is hard to navigate, since there is no apparent logic to the sequence or color coding of entrees vs various options for each item vs extras, or drinks. We spent quite a bit more than expected simply because we added avocado to our burritos. The burritos were large, at least three quarters full of rice with one line of cheesy pinto beans. As we waited for the food, a man walked across the street from the gas station and asked if we would buy him rice and beans, and then started asking for meat add-ons. I ended up sharing one burrito with my spouse, who also had two tacos, and this was plenty for dinner. If I returned, I would be more prescriptive about what I want (less rice, more beans and cheese) and exclude the pricey add-ons.

Food was alright. Very hot which is great. I ordered chicken tacos and chicken mulitas. The chicken tacos were huge, not the standard street taco. Couldn't finish eating them. Chicken was super salty. The chicken mulitas were good. Seems like the tortillas are handmade which is super nice. It was nice and crunchy which I love. My one complaint is that the chicken was super salty and didn't have enough cheese. I'd like to have a cheese pull. It also came with cabbage and cucumber(?) in the mulita which is something I've never seen before? Not authentic but it was ok I guess. Tasted more like pupusas which the cabbage tbh. I also wish the chicken had more flavour. More flavour and less salt would've been great. The sauces are ok. The green jalapeño sauce was good but very watery. Use less water to make it thicker. The red sauce was alright. Not spicy which I prefer more spice. The avocado sauce tasted weird imo so I was slightly disappointed. After eating the food, I did get a stomach ache (not sure if it's the food or the amount of salt I consumed) and woke up with an upset stomach. Not sure if I'll eat here again. If they used less salt and didn't get an upset stomach, I would've rated it higher. I've definitely had better though.

After a day exploring Mt Whitney, decided to grab dinner here since it was in the empty lot next to our hotelWhat I ate:- CA burrito: This thing was the size of a small newborn baby. I kid you not. It was heavy, dense. I should have said no beans in the burrito. This was just okay. The meat was touch and chewy, but the flavor was there- Marinated Pork taco: After trying the marinated pork, I had full regret on not getting the CA burrito with the marinated pork. The pork was super tender and flavorful. Taco was on the large sidePros:- Pretty extensive menu with lots of protein options- Price was right for what you get- The one guy in the truck was super friendly- 3 different sauces, the red one was burn your tongue hot. Green one also had a nice kick. The avocado one was mild and tastyCons:- That asada was horrible and chewy! I wish the pieces were cut into smaller pieces so it was less chewy Would I come again? Probably not since I'm not local.

OMG this is the bomb!! Stayed in Lone Pine after spending the day at Death Valley. We asked the front desk person at our hotel about places to eat and he recommended this taco truck. He's parked in the dirt lot just north of the Quality Inn every day. DON'T PASS IT UP! Asada & chicken tacos with rice & beans, asada taco salad & chicken nachos were all fantastic but the guacamole was the show stealer, and I'm not a huge guac fan so that speaks volumes. It's a good thing this taco truck isn't in my town cuz I would eat there daily. Fast, friendly service but plan ahead he doesn't accept cards.

Wow! Sooooo good.I had the carnitas tacos because the pork was recommended over the asado... and I was not disappointed. These are not tiny street tacos, but everything about it is just as good.Hubby had the chicken (Pollo) burrito and he loved it.We got here at 9:30pm and had to ask the location at the gas station where it was. It was across the street where all the truckers park. Makes sense.... right!?They have it lit with a set of halogen lights in a darkest parking lot. But once you get closer, it is very well lit. While there, a CHP officer picked his meal to go. And you know that law enforcement always know the best places to eat!!5 stars, well deserved!

Great food. Large portions & low prices. Everything we had, see pics, was excellent. According to our hotel reception clerk, of the 3 taco trucks in Lone Pine, this is the best one. It is in the truck parking lot directly across the street from the Chevron gas station.
