This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! We stopped for gas on our i-5N journey and were looking for options that were not fast food. We got seated very quickly. The ambiance is actually quite cute - oldish, small town vibes with a Hispanic spin. They had Hispanic music to tie in the vibes. The server was very nice and responsive. Their menu is quite extensive with all day breakfast, apps, entrees and some interesting sides. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and the huevos con chorizo as well as a glass of Horchata. The food came quickly and it was freshly made. There was a lack of the heat element but we made do with the hot sauce. The plates were quite big and filling. The quesadilla was good outside of the needing more heat. The guac was VERY good! The huevos con chorizo was also very good except for lack of spice. The beans and rice were excellent and made for a good, filling plate. The Horchata was definitely one of the best I've had in a while. Pricing wise, it is slightly on the higher side for Mexican restaurants but I guess that is expected for a restaurant that is not fast food on the interstate. If you are looking for good food on your journey on I-5, I highly recommend stopping here. They are open from 12 am to 9 pm daily!

This place has a cute little ambience with several tables. Cute cozy indoor seating. Lots of space, so if you're stopping on your way down to LA or up to San Jose this is a GREAT taco spot -- I 100% recommend it! The tacos enchiladas are very authentic very fresh. All of the guac and fixings were absolutely amazing. save your trip to chipotle and come here for some authentic Mexican food. The waitress was helpful and sweet and gave us some recommendations and checked off us often.

We called in an order while cruising up to NorCal on the 5. What a delight! Friendly all around! From order taker on the phone to the pickup experience (where the owner/manager (?) grabbed my straw wrapper that I had wadded up and tossed it out for me), everyone was super pleasant and efficient. It's a fairly small restaurant with several booths and a few tables. Our to go order was ready in 10-15 minutes from when we called it in on a Friday evening. We noticed several others also coming out with to-go.The food was great! I LOVED the combo, taco & enchilada, I ordered. The enchilada was smothered in green sauce and everything was flavorful with crisp lettuce on my shredded beef taco. My hubs got the Burrito Mexicano and when I read it off the menu, neglected to see the "spicy" mention in the salsa. It was a bit too hot for him, so he didn't love it but that was on us, not them!Great option to support a local business and eat something more tasty than fast food fare.

On our way to Burning Man, and made a pit stop for lunch and gas. I love me a cute whole in the wall resturant and this place has that home-ie feel. The family that runs the place is so kind and makes you feel like they have been waiting for you this whole time just to feed you. You absolutely have to order the chips, salsa, and guacamole. Order two salsas! Trust me you will be drinking the salsa, it's that delicious! My number one rule when knowing if mexican food is good is tasting the rice and beans first. 1000 percent authentic and on point. Everything was soooo bomb! I cant wait for another road trip

This food was not tasty. We got the wrong order but it was late and we just ate around the meat stuff. Even the food we could eat was not good at all. Tortillas were gummy. Salsa tasted off. Beans were over salty. Rice was both dry and oily. A vegetarian burrito had huge chunks of broccoli and cauliflower and no beans. The chips were good. The ambiance was old fashioned, and I typically love the old school Mexican restaurants with carpet and booths. This was very disappointing. I don't plan to return.

The the service is what made this a two star restaurant my server was not attentive, and he would take the food to the wrong table. You would ask him for something and he would take forever to bring it or sometime not even bring it to where you had to get up and ask for it again overall food was great service needs to be improved
