My husband is a creature of habit and Los Molcajetes has been one of our go to date night spots for many years. It's comforting to be able to come in to a familiar restaurant knowing exactly what we're gonna order - a supreme molcajete with extra queso freso, extra tortillas de harina and 2 Mangoniadas. At this point, I'm not sure if they are actually called mango margaritas, but our servers always know what we're ordering when we come in. This Saturday was a little bit more of a wait than usual, but it was expected. All 3 party tables were full plus all booths, it was a full house! Theres a DJ spinning a variety of tunes, and it's fun to see the servers bring out drinks and desserts to those celebrating their birthdays. Our server did her best to check in periodically and apologized for the wait. We didn't mind, we enjoy our time out and it just gives us a reason to stay out later than usual ;)The only real negative thing I have to say about this place is the rose vendors that come around to your table. I get why they do it, but I remember a time when this was only done at night clubs, not restaurants.

As always, we had an absolutely amazing experience! We've been coming here for years and they always do a great job. We had a big group, 25 people, and Trisha, and a few others (I didn't get there names sorry) just all came through and Super Womened our entire group. Great food, great team work, everything was fresh and correct, and as always a great atmosphere!We sat outside, they had large coolers which we didn't need because the Oct. weather was great, they turned on the club lights (around sunset), brought an outdoor speaker which we were able to Bluetooth connect to and play our own playlist, and the did the happy birthday song with cake thing, and they took plenty of pictures of our group with our phones. It was more than what we expected! Thank you Trish, and the entire team at Los Molcajetes for all your wonderful hospitality We will continue to come back!

We reserved for a birthday party. From the start we mentioned we would have separate checks and that was just a mess. The music can get VERY loud, and I mean very loud. Our server was really nice and patient with us because we were a big group. The molcajete is what they're known for and it was okay... wasn't spicy, a bit dry and the meat was very chewy. Was in the Bakersfield area and just wanted some good authentic Mexican food. This place definitely hands down is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants ever. The food had just enough spice, and very flavorful. if you're ever in the area and want a delicious meal, go here. We definitely will be making the hour drive back!!

This is seriously the best Mexican restaurant in all of Bakersfield! I have been to some of the most trendiest restaurants like El Puerta and Ay Mi Pa, but the quality of the meat and food cannot compare! Not to mention the service! Edith, our waitress, who we personally request, has the sweetest personality, most friendly conversations, and fastest service. My favorite is the Molcajete bowl! Very high-quality of meat, very flavorful sauce, and unlike other restaurants it's very meaty!!!!!!!! a must visit!!!!!
