Los Cunados Mexican Grill

This was my first time there and let me tell you the food was delicious! I got the carnitas rice and beans it also came with quito's and pickled onions The restaurant was clean and super cute definitely going back.

Came in after an event at the Kern County Fairgrounds. Our go to is the Molcajete but wanted to try out different dishes this time. They first bring out chips and salsa. The salsa is a tomato salsa with a tinge of spicy. You can however ask for spicier salsa that taste Iike the tears of satan. So if you love extremely spicy ask for it. The carnitas plate was about a 8 out of 10. Great portions, not to dry or to oily and it had all three (carne maciza, cueritos and buche) however the rice was a bit flavorless. The consomé had good color. Not too much oil and the meat was flavorful. Now the Molcajete hasn't disappointed so far. I can say it is the best one in town from all the ones I have tasted. Comes with the four meats(chorizo, asada, chicken and shrimp), nopal and queso fresco. The sauce is nice and rich and not too spicy with just enough kick. Additionally it comes with a side of beans and rice and handmade tortillas.

Delicious their Molcajete is the bomb they also have a good variety of aguas frescas the place is always nice & clean the staff is friendly it's a small little restaurant of Union Ave easy to miss but don't let that fool you give this place a try

You wont get what you pay forToo expensive for how stingy they are with the food. Most places I've been to you get a generous amount of food for less of what they give you here.I bought some asada fries for almost $10 including tax and they were so stingy i think it was karma for not being loyal to Dos Tacos. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Besides price they have good customer service and they're the type of restaurant that will take your plate to you. Its not the type of restaurant you want in the hood. Just saying.

Nice comfy sit-down. Yes. They have a Truck on S. Chester n Ming.Heck. I just ordered/ate 5 tacos at 5 Yelp stars El Buen Pastor. What an I doing here then. Blame Maria N. for me ordering one Pastor, One Carnitas after I just eaten.I posted Yelp Pic's Comparing. Will report if Los Cunados's is 5 Yelp stars or not..Update after Tasting.Red Salsa has lots lors heat. But lacks some magic as you can find El Taco Loco, El Buen Pastor, Fruego's, Carniceria El Amigazo etc.I like the Al Pastor here. Solid 4+ stars. Good texture, flavor. Not 5 stars Delish like El Buen Pastor. Which I'll drive 7 miles for. I live only 8 or so blocks to Los Cunados Mex Grill.Carnitas is Ok. But seriously needs seasoning. Texture is ok. Better by far is at Carniceria El Amigazo. Which has Taco Tue at $1. Other days $1.50. But understand Los Cunados Mex Grill is $2 for Carnitas Taco.LCMG is just at Grand Openning. As more Yelp'Rs post their thoughts Im hopeful they will change accordingly. As well, enlarge their sparce menu.At 4 Yelp stars. Go have a Bite

Service was lackluster it took over 40 minutes for us to get our drinks and the food was ok. Service needs a complete revamp.

Me and my coworker went for lunch and the service was good. The food was good from the salsa to what we ordered. I will definitely be returning again. Very comfortable and welcoming.

Good service good food enjoyed the aguas frescas would definitely return highly recommend

Great food and the service is excellent. We tried the Platillo de Birria and it was great. Sopes with Carne al Pastor were delicious with a nice blend of beans, meat and sauce. The Chicken quesadilla was excellent. The Chilaquiles were also OK. My wife gave the restrooms a 5-star as they were clean. I will for sure come back when in Bakersfield.
