Loma Linda Restaurant

This mom and pop restaurant is absolutely awesome. They have a family feel the minute you walk in. Everyone is really nice and every dish that I have tried have all been very good. I've been here several times. I've tried the carnitas, chimichanga with shredded beef, and Loma Linda burrito with chicken. Not one single one of these dishes disappointed. Their prices are very reasonable and they give you quite a bit of food. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Everything was so good! The service was fast and everyone is so friendly! I got the enchiladas verdes and the spice was perfect! And the chips and salsas hit the spot! Will be coming back!

This Wednesday, for date night, my husband and I planned to check out Loma Linda Restaurant, located on Mount Vernon Avenue across the street from Bakersfield College's Stadium. We've heard excellent reviews about it and were excited to experience it.Upon seeing the exterior of the restaurant, I must admit that my expectations were relatively low. Given the reviews I had heard, I wondered what all the fuss was about.As we arrived at Loma Linda, the maitre d's warm smile welcomed us inside. Without any delay, he ushered us to a cozy booth where we could take in the vibrant décor of the dining room. Its cheerful atmosphere and cleanliness were impressive.A friendly waiter greeted us and took both our drink and food orders. We both decided to order a la carte; I went for a chili verde tostada, while my husband ordered a chili verde burrito. The drinks and food arrived quickly, and I looked forward to digging into my tostada. It looked so delicious with the sour cream and guacamole on top, and the best part is that there was no extra cost for those toppings!The meal was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. It was so good that we both fell silent as we savored every bite. The margaritas were bursting with flavor, prompting us to inquire about the house tequila. We discovered it was made with Jose Cuervo Gold.I can't wait to visit Loma Linda Restaurant on Mount Vernon Avenue again. Their Mexican food is so good that I'm definitely going to be a return customer! Loma Linda definitely deserves five stars.

I almost always get the fried fish. I have never been disappointed with my food or service. The atmosphere is great and family friendly.From the tacos, sopes, flautas, burritos and more...everything is delicious! Everything tastes authentic too! And you definitely get your money's worth.

Came here for lunch with my sister. It's located in a strip mall, right across the street from Bakersfield College Stadium. It looks like this place has been here for a while, if you catch my drift. For lunch not being so busy, the waiter wasn't very attentive. They do have high-chairs for the kiddos and the restroom was clean.As for the food itself, I had a lunch special that came with two enchiladas & beans and rice. The enchiladas were tasty, the beans were good (could have been less runny) and rice was alright. They do provide complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the salsa was just ok. I'd probably come back because East Bakersfield needs its restaurants, but I'd other places before then.Price: $18. (w/ 20% tip)

This location has always been on the rotation of places to take my grandma. The atmosphere is nice and clean and we like the fact they open early on the weekends.The food is good, always consistent. I typically order chilaquiles which never disappoint! The coffee is always fresh even when ordering decaf.The staff is always friendly even when they seem to be busy, always checking up on you and offering refills. This is a place we can spend a couple hours eating and chatting without feeling like they're kicking us out!

Long drive for us to try this place out but we figured why not. When we walked in the greeted us promptly and let us pick where we wanted to sit. They took our drink order and were very patient with us as we were slowly dissecting the menu since it was our first time here. After a while we placed our order and devoured several bowls of salsa with some chips while awaiting our entrees. Nothing negative to say about this place as they were very attentive and pleasant to deal with. The food was ok and the price was right.

We came in as a party of 6 to have lunch at approx 12:50p on a Sunday. We were finally seated at 1:20p, ordered at 1:35p, and got our food at 1:55p. The long wait was the reason for the review getting 2 taken away. Otherwise, the food was great, the service was very good, and the owner came to apologize for the wait. We even had a conversation regarding the restaurant potentially expanding with the outdoor patio they have. They have a very good location being right across the street from Bakersfield College.As far as the food is concerned, I had a two taco plate, one chicken, one shredded beef. The taste was great, but the shell got soggy. My son had a child's bean burrito and he enjoyed it. My grandmother ordered a chile verde burrito and she said it had good flavor. It was more than enough as she took some home. My aunt enjoyed her huevos rancheros, and her kids each had nachos and fajitas that they loved. Overall, good experience.

It's ok. I liked it a bit but it really isn't enough to justify going again. Tostadas appetizer tasted funny I left it all on my plate when I went had to wash off my palette after that. Drinks took a while to get to my table even though it wasn't packed. If you live close by or don't want to drive I could understand driving here...but I'd rather go somewhere else even if it takes longer to get.
