I recommend this wonderful spot for sure!! It is local owed and the owner is a really awesome kind person with a wonderful personality and not to mention the food is awesome too.

I felt like a salad.This place is downtown on G Street, just north of the main post office. I checked out their menu on Yelp and decided on the Greek Salad. The feta cheese sounded good to me. It was 1:30. I called to place my order. While the place closes at 2 and I was across town, the staff told me not to worry. My order was ready for pickup. There's a table for eating outside.This salad seems like a great value to me. It fed both my wife and me; they loaded it with great ingredients. During this holiday season, it's nice to eat "good" food for a change.If you're looking for a quick, easy meal to grab on the go, check out one of these wonderful salads.

Food and service awesome. The salads were fresh and so yummy. Plenty of variety and flavors to choose from while beautiful in preparation. Thanks again. And just made our lunch a fun time over good food.

Great salad choices! This is an outside walk up window, no inside seating. There are two tables with two chairs on sidewalk. Ring buzzer for someone to open window to take order. All salads $12, huge portions! I had lunch two days with one salad. I already started telling the girls at work about it as they stared at me eating mine! It was a nice short walk from our office too, definitely recommend!!

Went back to Lettuce Eat today for my second visit. The Summer Berry Salad was calling my name. This salad is so freaking good!! It's fresh, it's healthy and it's HUGE!Chicken, strawberries, blueberries, candied walnuts and a delicious strawberry dressing. It also comes with feta cheese but I opted for less calories and skipped the feta. The salad is big enough for 2. So I ate half and will save the rest for tomorrow. It also comes with a bottled water. This is my new lunch spot! Oh and the employees are all so friendly!!!

Very convenient place to get delicious salads. They have a walk-up window where you order and a couple tables outside to sit and enjoy your salad. Service is excellent and very quick to have your order ready. Nice presentation of the food as well, and very reasonable prices. Most salads in downtown are over $15 and here for $12 you get a salad and an ice cold water bottle. Definitely a must try.

I have never met a nicer gal than the sweet soul AnneMarie who owns and operates Lettuce Eat. The whole staff is so friendly! Went for lunch on a hot Wednesday afternoon. In this weather, a salad is the perfect meal. My sister and I were served at the little pick up window by the owner herself which was lovely. She was patient, gracious, kind, and bubbly while we pondered our options. Studying the menu, it can be hard to make a choice. Every single description made my mouth water. It came down to the Cowboy Waldorf or the Taco Salad and she was nice enough to mention that my first choice is not always on the menu- a little info that made the decision easier, which I appreciated. My sister ordered the Bistro. Both salads were works of art. The ingredients were fresh and amazing, there was no skimping on toppings, and the lettuce in the salad itself was packed down into the very large salad container. It easily could feed 2-3 people. I had mine for lunch and dinner. It was fantastic. Also included in our lunch bag was 2 ice cold bottles of water - also greatly appreciated in this weather that is akin to a day in death valley. All in all, this place is amazing. Such friendly staff, huge portions, and gorgeous, fresh salads. Check 'em out!

Yelp event steered us to try this place out. We rang the bell and were greeted by a very cheerful woman who took our order at the window. Two gargantuan salads were ready in about 5 minutes with frozen water to keep them cold on the way home! We first ate the "bistro" with tender chicken, mixed greens, candied walnuts, blue cheese, dried cranberries and tomatoes and we chose raspberry vinaigrette dressing --large enough for 2 . fresh and delicious--what a great value for $11. Tonight we will share the chef's salad which is so big it is bursting out of its container and must weigh 2 lbs--lots of ham, bacon, chicken, hard boiled egg, romaine with blue cheese dressing. Glad for the yelp event--we are certainly now fans of Lettuce Eat

Wonderful and friendly counter service by who I think was the owner. The vegetarian salad is enormous and delicious. I live in LA but come to Bakersfield every month to visit family and I'll be visiting lettuce eat again!

Lettuce Eat came highly recommended by my coworkers. I love nothing more than a cold crunchy salad and this hit the spot! The raspberry vinaigrette is so tasty! The crunchy apples and craisins add such a good flavor to the salad. It even came with a water bottle, which was a pleasant surprise. This is a perfect lunch and comes with everything you need. They deliver as long as you purchase a minimum of 2 salads. I can't wait to try it again. Really really tasty Apple Feta Salad!
