Leaning Oak Ranch

Leaning Oaks Ranch was a perfect venue for my daughter and new son-in-law's wedding! With 150 guests invited, the setting was great for the 100+ attendees. Landscaping in the front area where the ceremony and most bridal party pictures were taken is beautiful. The plants offered greenery and a beautiful array of fall colors for the occasion. We were terrified that we might get rained out, but Barbara (owner, proprietor, sanity savior!) had connections to vendors offering tent options but assured us we would be okay without said tents after scouting the weather and staying in constant contact with us. (She was 100% correct) We then moved from the picturesque ceremony area to the back for the reception. This also did not disappoint. There was a good flow to the venue between the bar, the food serving, the tables for dinner and visiting with guests, to the Gazebo and dance area. It was cozy for guests but never crowded. The staff was attentive and extremely helpful...our guests wanted for nothing. I was pleased and impressed with the professionalism and hospitality at the wedding and reception. Leaning Oaks was completely accommodating and helpful every step of the way. For a wedding, you simply don't want to leave things to chance; the day is just too important. It felt like the staff were ready to meet our every need and offer suggestions when needed. I can honestly say that the guests, family, and the bride/groom were 100% satisfied with Leaning Oaks as a venue and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a local, outdoor, beautiful, and professional venue. We worked with Barbara and Keith to get everything we needed dropped off the day before the event so that set-up was a breeze the day of the wedding! Positive communication was a huge key to this very successful event. My daughter and son-in-law now have amazing memories they can look back on for the rest of their lives and smile. Choosing Leaning Oaks took away much of the stress of planning a large event and an important day! (More pictures will be added as they are received...)

I loved working with Barbara! This is the first time I've been married, I am also the least creative woman I know and she helped me with every question/problem I had. She let us get married on a week day which I know isn't usually the traditional, I actually got denied by other venues in Bakersfield because of it. But I will forever be thankful that this led me to her home.

We got married here last weekend, it was beyond incredible. I am so thankful Barbara (owner of the venue) was there to help guide is through this overwhelming and stressful process of planning a wedding yourself, when you have no idea what you are doing lol. During the rehearsal barbara helped us to plan for the best set-up for decor as well as practice (with 50 people) a few run throughs for the ceremony. The day of, her and her team, along with my two day of event coordinators, went to work and I didn't have to worry about a thing!! Anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding venue should definitely check this place out, go at night to get the full effect of her incredible lighting!!

Hi everyone -- my daughter was married at leaning oak last nov 2019 and we couldn't have been happier with everything .. Barbara and kieth were exceptional in meeting all of our requests and were always open to us getting items over and sitting up! They worked tirelessly during the wedding and after ! Our guest list was about 180 and all went well ! Yes I would highly recommend their establishment!!

I had my wedding here in October and I couldn't have asked for a better venue! Everything came out perfect, better than I could have ever dreamed of, all because Barbara and Keith went the extra mile to make it happen. They went to the store to get ice multiple times to make sure we didn't run out, they made sure everyone else was on schedule and they were super helpful every step of the way. If you want a worry free environment for your wedding, definitely book here!

I have not had the chance to look at the place yet but I have been looking for a place to get married and the person I spoke to was the NICEST person ever! She was not rude she did not rush me it was nice talking to someone and they were nice for once !

If I could give zero stars i would ! I assisted/attended a wedding at this venue over the weekend. I'll start by saying this venue has potential. However they need a serious boost in their professionalism. The night before the wedding we had the rehearsal dinner at the venue and the owner kept repeating how they didn't want any grass or plants ruined. It's understandable however how many times do you have to state it? Secondly before we left , Barbara made mention that she left a sheet in what was going to be our dressing room because a bridal party before had gotten make up everywhere on the carpet . I'd recommend maybe taking out the carpet and placing hardwood floors or tile for less risk . Now we weren't allowed to set up or bring anything the night before even though there were no events being held. We could live with that. So the here we go on the day of the wedding and we receive a phone call at 8:30am that Keith was outside cussing out our vendors exclaiming to get the F*** off of his property and that he never said anyone could be there early. So now myself and the bride drop what we're doing and rush to venue to fix this issue. When we arrive Keith said we couldn't have a dance floor because he didn't want any brown spots in the grass and if there were any spots found that they would not return the $1500 deposit that was made . That was always the threat, if there was any sort of damage they were going to take the whole deposit. After the father of the bride arrived and texts were shown of the bride being told otherwise about the dance floor Keith then retracted his statement and agreed. It seems that Barbara bad Keith were always on different pages if Barbara said yes Keith was behind her saying no . No one wants to deal with that kind of nonsense on their big day . Oh , and let's not forget the fact that they both made sure they came out to eat and dance during the reception despite the drama they cause before hand . I would NOT recommend this venue to anyone however after seeing the reviews raving about these people and the venue I'm convinced they had some other underlying issues with us and just didn't speak on it . That's okay I'll just be sure to post my review on all media platforms. Bakersfield is a small town I'm sure word of mouth will travel just as fast if not faster.

Beautiful place , and beautiful people ! The owners Kieth & Barbara were amazing , so kind and helpful from the first time , my daughter and hubby to be viewed and full in love with the venue ! The staff was wonderful, very kind , professional & honest . One of our guest left a large some of money ($1500.00) to be exact. They forgot that they had put in middle console of there car . The venue had valet parking 3 attendants , Valet had parked the vehicle for them, had also went and retrieve something for them , from the vehicle during the reception , and also brought the vehicle to them at the end of the night ! All attendants had been in the car , and all the money was still there ! All of our guest really enjoyed the evening . We would highly recommend this venue , great location and the sweetest people . We all feel has if we made new friends !!
