Great ambiance. Big wine cellar. New place with lots of potential. But service is very slow, which is a big problem. I had the sliders and they were very tasty. We also ordered a charcuterie board which had a good selection.

I visited Le Cave for a glass of wine and appetizers. Le Cave is located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. We arrived at about 6:00 pm on a Friday so it was very busy but still had a few tables available. We were seated quickly and attended to within minutes. The ambiance is very pretty. The restaurant was much bigger than I anticipated. The only draw back was that it was a little noisy and hard to hear each other speak at times. There was a decent size store front with a good selection of wines. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and a very tasty cocktail called the Gimlet. To my surprise it was not just a wine bar but a full service bar. We ordered the bruschetta made with goat cheese and plum jam, Beef sliders with caramelized onions and blue cheese, and a Manchego pizza. All of the items were tasty and freshly made. They were served on very pretty plates and presentation was on point. The bruschetta had a nice crunch and the pairing of the goat cheese with something sweet was perfect. I'm normally not a huge fan of goat cheese but it was tasty. The pizza was tasty as well but the olives kind of overpowered the taste even though I love olives. The menu items paired nicely with the wine we selected. Service was quick and all of the food came out within 10 mins. I will definitely be returning to Le Cave.

After our pedicures, my bestie and I went across the street to this new spot. First impression on ambiance: it's a huge restaurant with a storefront area to purchase bottles of wine, a nice size refrigerated section for chilled bottles to purchase and then the dining area with booth seats, tables, or seats at the bar. It's slightly dark and it's definitely giving fancy, classy vibes. First impression on food and service: The server was very helpful and informative helping me decide what to order. I went with the salmon that was on top of a bed of greens with a lemony sauce drizzled on top. It was delicious and I loved how the edges of the salmon were slightly blackened which gave it tons of flavor. My bestie went with the grilled shrimp and loved every bite. We also had a couple glasses of the Tensley Lite Syrah that was suggested by the server and it was wonderful. I would love to go back on a double date or something and try more wine.

New wine bar in town that serves food as well. Went on a Friday night and they were busy but we were able to get a seat promptly and the service was not affected. Food: had the fries and they were amazing. Had the perfect crunch to soft interior ratio. They were served with an aioli but it was barely needed as they were seasoned so well. Will have againDrinks: Were not bad but had a couple of issues that kept if from getting 5 stars. First they list egg white as an ingredient but used the ones from a carton with preservatives (we always ask since my girlfriend is allergic). Secondly the Vesper was missing the lemon twist and served in a martini glass looking like it was half full. Overall will try again as a few of the wines in the retail side are well priced.

The ambiance is nice ,very relaxed and comfortable. The drinks are okay; pretty pricey and not a big selection. I had a hard time finding something sweet; what they made me was okay; not sweet like I prefer though and a small amount for the price. Took me awhile to drink it, cuz I didn't enjoy it that much. The menu seems more geared towards drier wines. If you like drier wines good selection for you. The service was okay; the food portion is really when it went downhill. We ordered an order of fries and took between 45-60minutes to receive. Not sure if they were picking the potatoes themselves before making them or what; but it took forever. We decided to give it another try and ordered the special pretzel for octoberfest; it was hard almost like a rock; felt like I was gonna break a tooth. That took about a half hour to receive. We also ordered the bratwurst: it came with fries , it was good but took another 40 minutes or so to receive. We were starving so of course ate everything. Not sure what's going on in the kitchen; where it takes this long . Would I come back? Eventually , but not anytime soon.

I was just looking for something new for lunch. Looked pretty unassuming from the outside. I walked in and I was shocked. It is a beautiful, upscale restaurant with a massive wine cave, thus the name. The place was roomy, beautifully lit, with a gorgeous bar, and French decor and French music. The server was attentive, polite, and well trained. I started with a Spanish white, what a delicious way to start the weekend. For appetizer I had the trio, olive, nuts, and breadsticks. The olives were savory and decadent, the mixed nuts were crunchy and salty, but the breadstick I can do without. The main course was 2 smash burger sliders. They loaded it with a pile of grilled onion and goat cheese, perfect for a glass of full bodied red. So if you are a wine lover, there is a top dog in town. I am so happy for Bakersfield to have another great wine restaurant.
