Ray did a great job landscaping our yard. We had another bid from a fine company but Ray was less expensive and offered us more. He did the work within the promised time frame and provided us with great follow-up on the little things. He was easy to work with and answered all our questions. We'd use him again without hesitation.

Ray has been amazing from the start. From walking us through our yard and giving us amazing ideas, to put things in action. Lara's landscaping services is the way to go if need a great looking backyard, with hardworking and dependable workers. Today is day one of start, and Ray is on site making sure things go smoothly. Ray Lara and his men did our backyard landscaping. Ray is professional and easy to work with. He is also hands on and on site everyday doing the work himself. He's a busy man yet he takes his time to answer all questions and concerns. Reasonable and fair price. Quality work. After he finished our backyard, he gave us instructions on what to expect as years go by and assured us that if anything goes wrong or we have any concern, we should feel free to contact him and he will fix it. We love our backyard and so happy we got him for the job after getting a quote from more than 5 landscapers. We will always recommend him to our friends and families. :)

I contacted Ray Lara to come give me an updated estimate due to changing plans on our backyard. I had Ray come out prior to concrete being poured if it would make his job easier. I was called out to work at the last minute but had a relative and wife at the house to explain what our plans were. During the walk through Ray seemed arrogant and talked down to my family as to the ideas they had and the concrete plans. I called to speak with Ray and he had a "matter of fact" attitude. I told him that was bad business and we would not be getting our business. He basically said it was fine and didn't need our business. Be warned

Called them last week. Made an appointment with them to come give an estimate. We made it for a 9am appointment and they never showed up, they never called we called them 3 times and also texted them and got nothing in return.

I don't have enough good things to say about the work Ray and his team did. From day 1 he has always been kind, helpful, and extremely insightful! He has a strong background with plenty of experience to help you fulfill your dream landscape. I had a rough idea of what I wanted and Ray helped us take it to the next level without breaking the bank. Ray offers quality service at honest prices. In addition to designing our backyard, he built a beautiful gas firepit that has been the center of attention whenever we have people over. I highly recommend Ray and his team for your next project, however big or small. As someone who did some shopping around first, the thing that impressed me most about Ray was his genuine interest in realizing our dream backyard. Ray, if you're reading this, I can't thank you enough!

They have great customer service and their prices are better than most. We just moved to bakersfield and bought a house in the Rosedale area. We have lots of beautiful trees that needed lots of trimming. I got 6 or 7 bids for my tree trimming project. Lara's had the best price, actually a lot less that sell the others. And, most importantly, they did a great job.

Not a good experience. I was quoted and promised a very high service which was significantly more than I had been paying but I wasn't happy with my current gardener so I took the chance. Despite a great "quote" (promised services) the actual crew that showed up was so sub-par I quit in 6 weeks. I tried every single week to communicate what was wrong. The gentleman was literally at my house for 20 minutes. Everything was left overgrown that I had been told would be included in the price. End of the day after telling them I'm done they wanted full price. I refused after spending $250 in cleanup for someone else. They settled with me for a sum I still regret paying for the service I got. Totally ridiculous.

june, 2024. after bragging about homes and kids, he then tells me a price that is stupid as his employees demand 160 daily and he has a crew of four and required to have them come every week. well, at morning they dont show up and then he says he will come out. then he refuses texts and voicemails. it is 8pm and nothing. says he will close the business because of the employees which he can't control. please, close the business. he tries to sound smart but he is not. crude, rude and uppity does not get your customers wanting you near their homes and family....BYE ......

Ray is reliable and gets the job done quick and efficient! We worked together to find the best plan possible for our back yard renovation. His team is trustworthy and extremely hard working. We definitely recommend using Lara's Landscaping!
