I must strongly advise against visiting this establishment, which I regrettably consider the worst I've ever experienced. The sole staff member on duty displayed an appalling lack of courtesy and professionalism. My concerns extend beyond the poor customer service; the questionable sanitary standards are evident from the stale bread that seemingly remains unsold for extended periods. This situation is particularly disheartening given the scarcity of similar establishments in the area. The panaderia, once a community gem, has deteriorated significantly under current management. Furthermore, the pricing is exorbitant - a shocking $4 for merely three bolillos is nothing short of exploitation. Please heed my warning: avoid this place to spare yourself a ruined day and a disappointing experience

Lake LA Bakery and Panaderia is a much-loved local bakery in Lake Los Angeles. They serve a full selection of Mexican pan dulce including conchas, empanadas, and many more. They've also got a large selection of donuts, not to mention coffee and drinks. Service is extremely helpful and friendly. Pandemic safety protocols are followed strictly; staff all wore a mask, masks were enforced for customers and social distancing was happening as proven by a long line of people six feet apart standing out the door on a chilly winter morning. I loved my coffee with cream, pumpkin empanada and chocolate concha. Folks were buying boxes and boxes of donuts and pan dulce; maybe this bakery is offering comfort food and the comfort of a wonderful routine for the family during these pandemic times. Free parking in the lot.

We have been coming to this bakery for at least 30 years. Everything is freshly made on the spot. A wide variety of Mexican breads, donuts, ham and cheese croissants, homemade banana bread. Coffee. Birthday cakes. It's our local hometown gem. You won't be disappointed!!

I have frequented this bakery for 15 + years, I absolutely love this bakery! Their variety of "PAN DULCE" is really nice and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Please don't change anything unless it's to make it better lol. Thank you!

The four stars are for the donuts. They are surprisingly good. Don't get me wrong this place has a monopoly on the doughnut game here in Lake LA. They are the only ones in town! Its cash only, the coffee sucks, there is absolutely no ambiance or decor. so you really wouldn't be hanging out there with friends. Its as ratchet as you can imagine it. I guess there really isn't any incentive to improve, if you want donuts you gotta go through them. On the other hand who, other the 60+ year olds, hang out at doughnut shop? Its no Panera or Starbucks but if you have a doughnut Jones they got you covered. They also have some Mexican pastry's.

The only game in town but good they need more of a variety they also make cakes but you have to order in advance if you're going to get donuts make sure you're there before 10 a.m. Because they sell out quick and they do not make anymore for the day and they also have a good hot chocolate

They have good pan dulce and donuts. You have to go super early to get the good stuff. They have bolio, croissants, hot chocolate, so much and all fresh.

I've been frequenting this bakery with my family for years! A tiny business owned and operated by two hardworking families.Come in during the afternoons and you will be helped by the best employees. Warm friendly faces! Most importantly remember to treat the workers with kindness, they're people too. I've heard and witnessed some horror stories and if you've ever worked having to serve others you know what a pain some people can be, don't be one of those. Menudo is the best, only sold on the weekends, and we drive all the way out from Palmdale for this. Their prices are unbeatable when taking quality into consideration. If you want something cheaper then be ready to sacrifice the taste to save a few cents. Noticed a review complaining about how fast donuts run out but that tends to be the norm during the weekends only, get 'em hot and fresh but only if you're early! I've learned baker works overnight to provide fresh bread upon opening and isn't present throughout the day to make more, get it while you can! Frequent clients are aware of this and plan their visits before all the good stuff is gone... be the smart frequent client. ;) Un cafecito con pan para la mañana, delicious!Support local businesses and ditch Vallarta.
