I don't remember how I heard about this market, but I'm glad I did! Their meat, both seasoned and unseasoned, is fantastic quality. The store is very clean and the staff is welcoming. They take the time to get to know you as a customer. It's very refreshing.

Their meat and season is the best I've had! I prefer the iron steak preparado! Drive from Taft for the meat.

I went to buy chicken on 7/17/2023, I get home and open the back to cook the chicken I found a cockroach on the chicken . I'm so happy I didn't feed that to my kids and caught it before hand. I called on 7/18/2023 and asked for the manager and the person who answered told me she was the owners daughter so I explained what was going on, so she said she was going to talk to the meat department and told me to hold on, I waited on the line for like 3 mins and then she hung up on me. I waited a full day to see if she would call me back to make things right or at least refund me the money for the chicken cockroach purchase but she never did. La plazita was my favorite meat department in Bakersfield but it sucks that I found that in my meat I won't be able to go back.

Best meat market I've ever been to. They have tri tips that are already seasoned. They will even season the carne asada for you when you buy it. Their guacamole is good. Also their ceviche. That's the only place I ever go now.

Been here more than once and will keep coming back for the fresh meat and prices. Everytime you walk in you get greeted with a smile and asked how can we help you. The customer service is the best. The place is clean and the prices are great. Everything is delicious from chorizo to sausage links to chicken and carne asada. I highly recommend this place to everyone in Bakersfield its a hidden gem. Thank you guys @Laplacita for your services. From one happy customer

Love this hidden gem! Quality meats, and fresh produce. I was amazed the first time I walked in at how clean they keep the place. It made me much more confident in their quality & cleanliness of their meats and I was not disappointed! I make the drive from Rosedale any time we need meat & it's totally worth the trip. I refer everyone i know to this spot!

We enjoy coming here even though we don't live near by but when ever we visit our family this is the place we go get our meat, burgers for the gatherings.. thank you
