Will definitely be coming back to La Palma! Food + Service were amazing! Ordered A LA PALMA CHICHARRON(SOFT) wet burrito plate and lemme tell you, it was the best wet burrito I've ever ever had The chicharron was so tender and flavorful I'd give it a 10/10. My wife ordered a Chile relleno plate + meatball soup + Margarita and she gave it a 10/10! Margaritas were freshly made and very good! Our service was amazing as well, Martha was very nice and made sure everything was okay and recommended a few of her favorites on the menu. La Palma is very family friendly environment with a wide variety of great food + drinks, seating, great music and had some sports playing on the tv. Can't wait to try more food off the menu when i go back! Thanks La Palma

We came here for a family dinner with 12 of us. We were seated quick and had the best server. 3 of us have dairy allergies and only eat fish no meat and our waitress was so helpful to be sure we didn't get anything we couldn't have. The price is very reasonable also. We will definatly be back again.

We had a great lunch here yesterday and we were served by Martha. Her service was excellent. I had the chile relleno plate for lunch, and it was good. My husband enjoyed a La Palma chicharron burrito, which I highly recommend it was really good.

The food was good, but when my girlfriend asked for an IPA beer, they brought her a Heineken zero alcohol. To me that seems like a poor choice. She ended up requesting a margarita instead. Overall, the food was good and we enjoyed our meal.

This place is awesome. My fiance Sterlina and I dropped by on the way to a business meeting. I had one of the best chile relleno and shredded beef taco platters I have ever had. Sterlina ordered a massive wet chicken burrito and we split a colossal nacho platter with carne asada. The atmosphere is old school ranchero, great for dates and very family friendly. Our server was Lorena who put up with my corny jokes . Will we ever come back? Hell yes! Look...There was a Mexican restaurant called Casa Maria that my parents would take me to in the early 1980s. This place reminds me of those days.

My husband took me here for my birthday, omg, the food was soooo good it didn't make no sense! Definitely recommend! We ordered the steak fajita skillet, so much food left over we were able to have dinner the next day.

We came here after trying the other hole in the wall location and this one doesn't compare. The other location has better flavor and better quality. After trying both i'd never come to this location again.

We went on Saturday afternoon, the place was not too crowded. However, service was slow and the food was just ok. The chips and salsa were good.

I will never go back to this restaurant!I typically recommend good restaurants to all my friends and family and make it a habit to support our local businesses. It's also atypical for me to write a review, but in this case I made an exception because of the terrible experience that I had and I felt that it would be a disservice to the public not to do so. My desire for this review is to hopefully notify the business owners and management in an indirect fashion as I hope that my critique could potentially shape a different outcome for future customer experiences. I do realize that I could have brought this up directly with management, but I didn't feel it would be appropriate as it would have disturbed the other customers. In addition, I think that my sentiment wouldn't have as much weight as written formalities seem to do so in the public spectrum. As I digress, this really pains me to say all of this because the food is actually quite good and the atmosphere is quite nice. The chips and salsa were really good... actually one of the best salsas I've had before. I love the stylistic walls and textures and spacious dining area with a lovely bar set-up as well, and the nice cozy/shady outside patio area. The stylistic Mexico decor is quite refreshing and very exquisite. But despite all of this, my experience was ruined because of the most horrendous service I had ever received at any restaurant in my entire life.My girlfriend and I went there for the first time on date night, and we had unfortunately the most rudest waitress named "MARTHA", who gave an attitude when I asked for the simplest requests. As a side note, I generally try to be the most polite whenever I ask for anything as I wholeheartedly respect and appreciate all the hard work that our waitresses and waiters do on a daily basis. Example:1. When I asked Martha for extra salsa, she gave me a look like that was an unbelievable thing to ask for and took her time when she proceeded to do so.I also asked for more chips and salsa, and she had an attitude like that was an unbearable request that she couldn't believe she's ever heard of before. She failed to make any type of conversation with us and did not have a happy or cordial demeanor the entire time2. After she placed down my salad, she didn't ask us if we needed anything else as her attentiveness quickly dissipated as soon as she sat down my salad. I tried to get her attention and called her politely as I wanted to request an extra ranch and for her to refill our drinks. When I called her, Martha was only two feet away from our table, so I know she clearly heard me; but rather than turning around, she abruptly walked away from us like we didn't even exist.3. We only got one refill each after she'd sat our food down. She didn't come by once during the entire time we were there and failed to even check up on us to see how we were doing. Remind you that I thanked her after she sat down our dinner plates and ensured that I was very nice and cordial with her and felt like I went above and beyond to do so.4. When I asked for more chips and salsa, she made the most awkward experience in front of my girlfriend and the other customers. "Really?, she says as she's laughing at me like it's an unreasonable or unreal request to ask for extra chips and salsa. Then she makes a big production out of it and comes up with something I've never heard of before in my entire life. "We have a policy where we have to charge you for additional chips and salsa, and we only give out two of them. After that we charge." Now, I've never heard of that at any Mexican restaurant before, and I've been to several establishments in my lifetime. I doubt that the merits of that are true, and I feel like she was lying to me which is upsetting, but more so is how she treated me and how she made a big production and spectacle in front of myself, my girlfriend, and the other customers. To make matters worse is how she laughed at me and smirked and made this an exceptionally awkward experience. If that was truly the case about the chips and salsa policy, she could have gone about it completely differently, but she decided to scold and demean me instead. In closing: Mind you throughout all of this, I was as polite as I could possibly be. I even asked my girlfriend if I had shown any type of disrespect or anything and she confirmed to me that I was very respectful and friendly and cordial. In addition, this all occurred when it was slow around 4:30ish on a Thursday where there were very few customers, so this was not a time rush situation at all where one could expect subpar service under certain circumstances such as having low staff during a rush hour.To all my Yelpers, if you do decide to go despite this review, please request a different waitress rather than Martha. Hopefully you'll have a much better experience.
