From the moment you walk in it looks a bit old and run down, but dont let that fool you. The treats they offer are fantastic! The ladies at the front are also friendly. For someone who is new to these delectable treats, I'll make some suggestions that I hope will help. Their Esquite is basically street corn in a cup. It's hot and has the toppings inside (mayo, cheese, butter, etc.). Soooo comforting!Their mangoniada is mango sorbet with chamoy (sauce that is fruity and both sweet and a bit spicy). It contains diced pieces of mango and bits of tamarind that are covered in chamoy (sweet and chewy sort of like gummies). You can also substitute the mango sorbet for lemon or watermelon. They are all equally delicious!Their ice-cream bars taste authentic, recommend the cookies and cream and the Strawberry flavored ones. But the options are incredible. The other treat I recommend is their bionico. It's a fruit salad (Strawberries, melon, papaya, banana, apples, etc.) with their own condensed milk recipe. You can add toppings such as granola, coconut shavings, almonds, sprinkles, raisins. It's fresh and also sweet. The only reason I'm holding back on that last star is the seating, the ice-cream choices are not labeled, and the menu is not always clearly visible. The booths tends to shuffle around, and if you are seated at the entrance it makes it awkward when people go in or out (the door almost hits whomever is seating in that booth). I hope they are able to change or update their booths, update their labels on their ice-creams and have a menu with prices always available instead of a screen that is sometimes turned off.

My kid took me to satisfy my craving for esquites, and they didn't disappoint! I have been having a craving for them ever since I had a delicious one at a restaurant a couple hours from my home. We had some business in Lancaster, so we searched for some out there, and found La Michoacana -- and I always wanted to try it since I saw the store open in the SCV -- so, perfect timing!I have been trying to make them at home in hopes to find the perfect combination of ingredients because I don't have easy access to these types of restaurants in my town. If anyone wants to share the "perfect recipe", I am all ears! Feel free to DM me!Any time I crave them -- and I'm in the area -- I'll definitely be back!

Check out this family-owned Mexican ice cream shop. This place serves original, traditional, unusual sweet, sour, sometimes even a little spicy ice cream, sweets and treats. Five stars for the covid-19 policies here, hand sanitizer, social distancing practices like masks worn and required, gloves worn by staff who stay behind the counter for your safety, limited capacity, and more.If you've never had a traditional Mexican ice cream cup, cone, sunday, fruit salad, or handmade popcycle, you are in for a treat.Traditional Mexican ice cream and fresh popcycle flavors like elote, (corn) guayaba, (guava) and horchata, as well as American classics, like strawberry and chocolate.I came here thanks to mango ice cream food porn pics. Thanks maps! *Loosens belt. I presented the cool proprietor a Yelp review, and said, "I want want she had!"Lucky for me, she remembers making the mango treat, and took pride in repeating the process. Lucky me, thanks to you guys, lucky you for checking it out.It starts with an entire mango, cut up fresh, then a little fresh mango sorbet, topped with sour plum candy, and a chili candy straw. Fresh sweet mango chili treat cup. Five hundred stars. Only a few bucks. This ice cream shop is not crowded. Skip the lines at big ice cream chains, avoid the crowded grocery store freezer section and take home a few pints!Great ice cream shop. Muy delicioso paleta.:)
