La Mexicana Panaderia

Finding local Panaderia's that are good is like hitting a gold mine! If you have never been to this little gem in Wasco please go and give them a try. We had our Grandparents Day breakfast at school and decided we wanted to serve pan dulce for our event. I have gone to this location for years and have always had a great experience. It opens at 6 am and when I walked in I smelled all of the fresh baked goods! Everything was fully stocked and bread was so moist. All of our Grandparents who came gave so many compliments about how fresh the bread tasted. We will definitely keep using them for our Grandparents day event! And of course I will always go there for myself! Go and try them! Make sure you bring cash, they do not take card payments.

Most Mexican bakeries I have been to have hard and dry bread but this one doesn't. Always soft and moist and delicious! My favorite is the bolillo with cream cheese and jalapeño.

Best pan dulce in town! Its nice and warm at about 7am and about 6pm.They have some of the best roll stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeno. Even people from out of town know about it. I've also taken some bread to my Dr sand he loves it!

Great way to start off the morning. As soon as you walk inside you get the smell of fresh made bread.The prices are great we cannot complain you definitely get what you pay for plus more. We should we should thank them for their hard work dedication to satisfy each customer.

Stopped by this past Saturday morning with my grandson. We arrived in town on the Amtrak train and I was looking for a snack for him. I love pan dulce, so we walked in and I asked him to find something that looked good to him. He did, I picked three more for the day, and we left. We walked to the nearest park next and started eating. He ate the whole piece! His first pan dulce pick was a hit. The young lady at the panaderia was very helpful and friendly. Thanks!

Stopped at this unassuming corner shop one morning before racing at nearby Buttonwillow Race Park. The freshly made concha pastry, in particular, was fantastic -- soft and flaky and not overly sweet --- just like the kind I remember eating while growing up in San Antonio, Texas, sixty years ago. The place was full of friendly customers loading up their selections on trays with tongs, then checking out at the front counter. More than a dozen varieties of pastry are displayed in wood cabinets with sliding glass doors; the rest, just out of the oven, is found stored on open metal racks. My sampling of five different pastries cost less than six dollars! Will make a point of returning to grab breakfast treats on future race weekends. Note: The cashier spoke Spanish rather than English, but other customers in line were able to help with translating. It all worked out fine.

If you're stopping by in Wasco & want some good Mexican sweet bread this is the spot. It always smells so good in there as well. The bread is bomb. This place only accepts cash I believe though!

El pan está muy bueno. Es primera vez que voy. No sabia que solo podía usar efectivo. Casi nunca traigo efectivo así es que pase una vergüenza por no tener para paga. Y lo que más no me gusto fue la actitud de la persona que cobra es muy ruda y sin modales. Tal vez es la dueña. Por eso se comporta así tan. No se como explicarlo

This is a little hole in the wall bakery but seriously the pan dulce is out of this world! I was staying with my parents for a week and I ate two pan dulces most days One day I ate four. The pumpkin empanada, cookies and tasty semita are my favorite. But seriously everything is amazingly fresh and tasty. They ONLY take cash at this place.

The best Mexican bakery in town. They have fresh bread everyday. The bolillo is the best there.
