La Costa Mariscos

It was nice; nice food, nice workers. It was a bit loud and overwhelming, but great experience over all. It being overwhelming took off a star; but to sum it up; it was a nice experience.I ordered the kids bean burrito with a side of rice and beans; my favorite being the rice. Would recommend.

I met a friend here for lunch and though the server was prompt in taking our drink and food order, there were a few things that made the experience less than satisfying. For starters, my friend ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada and was brought out a tostada de ceviche mixed. When we got the waiters attention, he seemed confused about why she was sending the food back. Next, I went to unravel my fork from the napkin, and it had food debris stuck to it. Fortunately, my friend gave me hers since she wouldn't be using it. The meal itself was enjoyable, the flavors were poppin' in the enchilada sauce, rice and beans. All good. However, when my friend gave the waiter her credit card to pay, he came back with the receipts and no card. We had to wait for the server to come back around to ask for it back. That part was a little scary, especially with identity theft and fraudulent charges on the rise these days. Overall, the food is great, service can improve. The decor and vibes inside of the restaurant are beautiful.

I'm visiting from Hawaii. It was my brother's birthday on the 17th and he asked to go to La Costa on Stockdale Hwy. Most of our meal was very disappointing. My 92-year-old mothers albondigas were greasy. I ordered the Baja tacos and one of them had a big black hair that was about 4 inches long.What has happened to the quality of your food? I have come to La Costa many many times when I am in California and visiting my mother, but honestly, after this incident, I'll find a different restaurant.

I have to say this place never let's me down. The vibe at the bar is always upbeat from the music to the visual decor, not to mention the drinks are always good. The service is always good and the food is always great as well. It's pricey but what place isn't these days. Just had a bad experience at the new Que Pasa on Coffee if you take anything away from this review make sure it's this, come and eat here instead and you can thank me later. LOL. Happy Years everyone.

From the salsa to the entree this whole meal was wonderful. We sat at the bar and the ambiance was personal and gave us access to the happy hour specials. There was a kind man going table to table asking if they would like a song to be played. He only asked for a tip. The salsa was yummy and the food was amazingly fast and delicious. The drinks were done well and I even customized mine for no extra charge. Our server was also our bar tender and he did a wonderful job checking on us. This place was wonderful and we will definitely be going back. This is the kind of place I remember as a kid and I am happy we found it.

Came into La Costa around 4:30 on Friday to order a dinner we're hosting on Sunday I made my order with Vivian who helped me decide on my choices. The menu was way to big to many delicious choices. The restaurant looked ready for a Friday crowd large staff was ready, I was asked if I was being helped by a several employees while I was making my choices. I pick up on Sunday at 4:30 i picked up our order at 4:30 all was ready. I needed to make 2 trips.We had plenty way to much delicious food. The sampler's combination platter would of been enough, tacos taquitos burritos chimichangas 2 salsas guacamole large amount of fresh chips. Warm fresh flour tortillas Plenty of food for our small group but I also ordered chili verde and enchiladas suizas I had enough for the neighborhood La Costa prepared a fantastic meal for us everything was delicious

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Bakersfield. Tay was my server today, So friendly, great job! What makes this a stand out restaurant in town is that the staff is well trained and the service and food is consistently good. I love the colorful decor. It's such a happy looking place. I ordered the Chapecanna today. Soooooo Yummy! It is a cold tomato marinade with a collection of fresh seafood. It contains octopus, shrimp & scallop in a cold gazpacho like tomato broth with avocado, cucumbers, tomato, cilantro & onion. It is such a light, cool & refreshing dish. They have a large menu with generous portions and lot of fun cocktails. Lunch or dinner you can't go wrong here.

Amazing ! I love this restaurant. The service is always great and quick . The food is good quality . We always get appetizers even tho they provide you with free chips and salsa . The margaritas are good family friendly and good vibes to come hang with some friends after work

I went here with my boyfriend for a little date. The decor and area was so nice and clean from the outside and inside. I loved the ocean theme and the little aquarium they had. Our female waiter was so kind and helpful. She checked on us everytime. Our food also arrived quickly, and it was delicious. The portions were great. We will definitely come again.

First off the interior is so cool. Felt like a Disney restaurant or some fun big chain restaurant! Our server was very friendly and attentive and also helped our party of 6 order! We also ordered some drinks and he was very helpful with that as well! I ordered the ceviche tostadas and they were amazingly fresh and flavorful and they did not skimp on the good stuff. We also ordered the crunchy taco combo and the tacos were so crunchy and delicious and the shredded beef was full of flavor! Some other dishes were chicken enchiladas with green sauce and the shrimp rancheros and all were enjoyed! Very clean restaurant and prices were more than fair! Will definitely be back!!
