La Carniceria Meat Market - Bakersfield

First off I just want to say having tried a few of these meat markets in LA, this new Bakersfield location tasted exactly like all of them down south. I was a bit worried after reading a review about getting meat from here but my wife and I agreed it tasted very similar to all the meat markets down south. For us this is our standard when it comes to buying meat. This place has the Best Carne Asada money can buy.In my family we call it, the Gold meat because it is very pricy but also soo worth it. We get the Asajo cuts because they're so easy to enjoy. They cook up super fast on the grill and they're soo juicy and flavorful with each bite. You cannot go wrong buying the Asajo cuts from this meat market. Come prepared to spend a lot of money but you will not be disappointed. When I'm LA we go to the one in Pico Rivera. I will definitely consider driving from Visalia over here knowing this meat market taste like the one in Pico. The customer service was real good too. Hopefully they can open one up soon in Visalia or even Fresno.

Didn't realize it but I think we showed up on their opening day. This place is extremely clean and apparently has multiple locations throughout California. So hopefully it's here today. Everyone seemed very nice there was somebody walking around keeping the place clean while we were there. They even have a customer, restroom They have different options, including high end, wagon cuts. See pictures.

I absolutely love shopping here. I grew up in South Gate and would shop at the first location with my family and friends for as long as I can remember. Amazing quality meat and amazing service. Beautiful ambiance.

I have been to this business twice, yesterday and today. Yesterday I was there and purchased a pound of short ribs. They said they were marinated and they explained the marination. It worked out so today I went back. This turned into the most criminal business I have ever been too. I ordered they pounds marinated short ribs. When I got home I looked them over. There was no marination just sprinkled some paprika and thats it. But that is not the worst of it. On top there were two good strips of meat but underneath it was all fat and bone. No exaggeration. They were strips of white fat on the bone. More fat than I have ever seen. No red meat at all. None. I would recommend to stay away from these criminals. They will rip you off.

This is my gf and my go-to spot to pick up some prime ribeyes when we feel like eating steak on a whim. The meat is consistently good and the price isn't bad either. You can tell them how thick you want it cut but often there are prepackaged ones available. People working there have always been attentive and helpful, asking if we had questions about other meats, etc.

This store is a perfect example of price gouging! 18$ for a dozen eggs , I just can't see how that's a reasonable price? I will not recommend this store and will not be going back

Overpriced crappy meat with horrible customer service.Did I mention it's overpriced and not that good ?

This doesn't compare to the carnicera in LA. The meat seem to not have any flavor. Didn't like it at all been here once and never again for the price no thank you rather go to the local meat market around the corner. Don't let the content trick you!!!

I just get RYB EYE and Ranchera the quality is amazing and very good prices. Love this place, friendly customer service. I will go back for more meet
