La Barata Market

I like La Barata Market. They sell decent products, good quality meat, good selection of beer , ok produce and Mexican specialty products that you can only find in stores like these. This store is very well stocked. Also this store used to be called, Jimenez Market so I give the new owner props on keeping businesses like these with a history going. If you come from a small town you know exactly what I am talking about. You can only get that small town vibe from these types of local businesses. Only thing missing is that old school wooden rack where they used to sell mini comics and magazines. Sensacional de Luchas was the Mexican comic books I used to look for back in the 90's. That's how old I am. Lol

Affordable food, pork skin, marinated pork, chicken and beef Dried beef, variety of meat.

I went in there and place smells horrible never again going in and the owner of the place is very rude when I told him that the meat smelled bad he got really upset and told me to get out of his store. Very unprofessional do not recommend!

had the unfortunate experience of visiting La Barata Market, and I would highly advise staying far away. The owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional, giving off a very unpleasant vibe from the moment I walked in. To make matters worse, the food quality is absolutely horrible . I spotted cockroaches crawling over the produce and the shelves. It's clear they don't take hygiene seriously at all. On top of that, much of the food is not only old, but some items are over 1years past their expiration date! I was shocked and disgusted. It's a health hazard, and I wouldn't trust anything from this market. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

This place is so bad the meat is expensive plus the place smells nasty when you play you don't even have space to put the grocery on the counter because of how many stuff they have on it I would NEVER go back

This place smells bad they have a mess all over the store, I am never going back,if I could give them zero stares I would.
