First time here. Came with a group and sat by the big front window. It started to drizzle sideways rain as we ate, adding to the atmosphere of the restaurant. I mean that in a good way. I had the teriyaki salmon bento box which came with miso soup (not pictured but delicious) and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the portion size was. Ate some spicy garlic edamame from a friends plate and it was scrumptious, just like every bite of my lunch. It was served up steaming hot and I greatly appreciated that as well. Excellent prices, too. Service was quick and friendly. Our waitress had the memory of an elephant. All in all, lovely experience. Will definitely return & highly recommended.

First time we went Kuma sushi 1818 L street downtown. Streets parking Restaurant clean, fish is fresh, went daytime and weekday so not busy that's good. I have allergies for salmon I ask waitress take off she said "ok"But salmon still in dish lol after sushi chef fix for me" Thank you! " I go back again!

i think i've found my new favorite sushi place.my date and i arrived for our valentine's day dinner-hungryyy!it is very cute spot! lots of tables available, and some bar seating. We were greeted immediately, and our server was very polite and attentive.we ordered the ponzu yellowtail jalapeño appetizer.. so fresh and i definitely wanted more! also ordered three rolls: green pinky salmon roll, sweet & hot roll, & rockstar shrimp rolleverything was fantastic, super fresh, and we left very satisfied ready for the next stretch of our date. i highly recommend this place, and i know we will be back.

Ummm, why haven't I been here before?! Ordered the jalepeno bomb appetizer and the spicy garlic edamame. Both were so good. Then we tried the spicy seafood miso soup, what?! This was my favorite, the broth was perfect combo of flavor and spice. We ordered 3 rolls, all of which were so all so good. I'm coming back here for sure!!The service was excellent!

KumSushi Bar area is in a league of its own! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. Although the tables had a longer wait, we were lucky to grab seats at the bar--and what an experience that turned out to be!Junebug, our sushi chef, truly made the night unforgettable. Despite the restaurant being packed with sushi lovers, he took our order quickly and made sure everything was perfect. The sushi presentation was stunning, and every bite was a party for the taste buds!One of the biggest wins of the night was my dad, who hates sushi, actually tried a roll that June made specially for him--a cooked shrimp roll--and he loved it! That alone made the night special. But the fun didn't stop there. Watching the sushi-making process up close added an extra layer of excitement, and we also got to enjoy some delicious spicy pork along with all the amazing sushi. The bar areas with June is a must !

Came here for quick lunch. They have a varied selection including a happy hour menu. Lunch options include both bento and roll combos.Opted to stick with rolls and non-sashimi items today. For $14.95, you can choose from a select list of rolls and it comes with a miso soup and side salad. Overall service was okay and location is easy to get to.

Was not sure what to expect at first, most of the photos here are of rolls and I tend to go for sashimi/nigri. Started with a toro Handroll and it was delicious, you could tell the fish was super fresh. Friends ordered several rolls and all were good. Besides the toro Handroll the other standout to me was the sea bream. We were at the sushi bar and the service was friendly and quick. Love that they have fresh wasabi!!! Will definitely come back.

I have been wanting to come here for a while and Kuma Sushi did not disappoint. Elijah & Lisa were our fabulous servers this evening. So pleasant, informative and friendly. We ordered an array of sushi & ramen dishes. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend Kuma Sushi for excellent service and delicious food.

I wanted sushi for lunch and I had Jin Sushi a week ago so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered online for pick up but chose to have lunch there. Staff was kind enough and let me sit at a table and try out their food. I hate to do this but this is not my kind of sushi. I ordered pot sticker soup which was a 10. Large tempura which was an 7 and the dipping sauce was an 8. Miso soup was an 8.I got 3 rolls lunch special which included Spicy crab roll 5, Spicy tuna crunch roll 5 and yellowtail jalapeño 4. I seen the reviews for this establishment were higher than Jin but tbh I do not see how. Well I tried it and it isn't for me. The inside is really nice and they offer a verity of of beverages. I have to mention the whole time I sat there and tried everything I was not asked if I'd like something to drink.

I loved the sushi here! It was really good and the price was also reasonable. The server was a bit rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. My mom was having a good time joking and the server didn't even react. Customer service was ok but other than that the food was delicious.
