Komoto Pharmacy

My family moved to Delano back in 1987 and Komoto was already here. Komoto pharmacy has served the west side of Delano for a good time now. I never had an issue here and the people working always provided excellent customer service.

Located right alongside the freeway Komoto's has been around for as long as I can remember, maybe even longer. I have very fond memories coming here with my parents and grandparents filling their prescriptions. They have a lovely selection of gift items which I have enjoyed browsing to kill time. I even remember Komoto's having a large selection of stickers. I mean what 6 year old doesn't love stickers!My dad stll drives over 30 miles to Komoto's to buy his favorite mouth wash that he swears can't find anywhere else. I appreciate them for keeping great selling items through the decades and their customers have in turn thanked them with their loyalty. While they've made some changes to keep up with the times and demands Komoto's is by far one of the greatest mom and pop run pharmacies in Kern County.

My absolute favorite place to get that very special card and gift! Everyone has always given me great service.

This place has the worst customer service. They treat their customers as if we don't have other options, since Delano is such a small town. Luckily Delano is starting to grow and get more pharmacies in town. I personally do not intend to come here again.

I love komotos friendly staff great prices, pharmacist helps and answers all your questions and concerns.

If I could I would give zero stars to this place!!! My niece came out of the hospital and we went to get her prescription and the lady told us we could wait 30 minutes or come back 2hours later, we chose to wait. 30 minutes later we got back in line and waited 15 minutes to be attended and then we were told they called our name but we didn't go up so they put our order for 2 hours which I said we waited in our car and then she tries to lie and say you have to wait inside the store. First of all they only have 4 waiting chairs and I stop counting at 23 people waiting. It's 102 degrees and I didn't want my niece waiting standing up so we went to my car with a/c on full blast to be comfy. Point is this place does not care enough for patients. As I waited in line 3 different customers were complaining about things they were told and now they are getting a different story. I will be taking my business to Walgreens.When I spoke to the store manager (Kerry Komoto) he kept making a face that seemed to me like he really didn't believe me!! I finally told him your making faces like you are annoyed and he apologized for that. I told him I don't need him to be sorry but to have staff that don't lie. My recommendation for this place is to have a better waiting area and staff with a smile and better customer service!!!

The best service in town when it comes to Pharmacy's. When they say would you like to wait for it, they mean you'll get it in less than 15 minutes. Love these guys!!
