Kernville Saloon

Cyn and I went in Friday night and caught some of the Karaoke. Some really good singers. We found out there was going to be a potluck for Super Bowl. They do serve food there, but surely not gratis for a whole bar on Super Bowl. WRONG. They put out tri tip and baby backs. There was chili, and there was a sweet and spicy baked bean crock pot ! Super Bowl potlucks are one of the greatest amalgamations known to man. You not only learn about people and how they cook, but where they got an O.G. potato salad recipe. The mac n cheese, mac salad and the rest had us 's'macking our lips. As a Chef ( half ass cook wanna be ) I really enjoy finding out about great things like adding heat to sweet baked beans and things my waist line should have never found out about...those almond joy bar cookie nests were pure heaven.The Kernville Saloon is, and always will be, a stop for us. Limited beer selection. Service was average. Prices decent. Kinda cool walking in through the old west swinging doors! Food was pretty good and priced fairly. Only reason for the 3 star is there just wasn't anything great just a pretty average bar. That being said I'd probably go back if in Kernville again.

Always a fun night. Love the saloon vibes. Owner and Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Weekend food choices are good and filling, and convenient for a night out for karaoke. Turkey melt with Ortega was great for our dinner. KJ was fun and knowledgeable and the sound system was on point. Crowd was awesome enjoying each-other's performances, and cheering on the singers. Looking forward to our next trip already

The bartender Geri was so nice and had the best stories to share. She even created a drink for me that will be my go-to drink from now on! The place has an old vibe cause of the saloon doors like the ones you see in Western movies, but it has newer bar stools that are cow print.Seems like everyone there were locals..

I really love the saloon style bar and decor! Had to get a picture of the outside since it's so unique. Decent sized building with lots of space inside. There are three rooms- a big area to dance, a pool room off to the side and in the back, slightly hidden from immediate eye sight is another pool table. Large bar with many choices of alcohol to choose from and lots of spots to pull up a seat. The drinks are good, strong, priced great and the bar tender was friendly. The music was wonderful and the vibes were super chill too.

We planned & headed in to get a cold beer and hot food after traveling for 2 hours. Our first stop was the bathrooms. When we came out there were no dining tables to eat at, only tall small bar tables. Everyone else was at the bar, no hostess, no menus. Not the greasy spoon dive we were expecting, no hospitality, and cold and open. It was Friday and loud so we walked out to discuss our decision. Then from nowhere some clown (read: owner) says "Hey, we're not a public restroom". First class jerk, low-class joint. Find somewhere else, anywhere but this soiled spot. You didn't get our business that night, you won't get our business ever and we will make sure we tell everyone we know to avoid it like the plague. Horrible & awful and the worst ever.

2024 Halloween Party was fun, there was a live band, candy bowls and so many locals turn out in costumes! My video on YouTube got over 15.3K views from that night- That's my best #'s on YouTube. The food at The Saloon is great, wish they had a late night menu. Good sized bar inventory, plenty on tap to chose from.

Been dancing at the Kernville saloon and playing pool for years when we come to camp. Good food and drinks. The bartenders are super friendly and Jim is extremely hospitable!
