Kern River Brewing Company - The Backyard Pub

We LOVE Kern River Brewing! We've been going since the very beginning. The Kern River is our happy place. I've never had a beer that I didn't enjoy. The service is always great. Love the patio dining at both locations. Food choices are different at the Backyard Pub. Both menus are delicious!

A local institution with beers created and nurtured onsite and available throughout the KRV. Great apps and diverse menu w daily specials that deliver flavor and quality. Enjoy both the original and back porch menus.

The staff here is so chill especially when you have a couple kids in tow. The beer flight is really good. I recommend tasting the porter. The cheese platter is really good paired with the flight. We also have the beef fries that were super delicious. The place is a lot more relaxed and quiet than the Brewery in the front. Just depends what vibe you want but this is the best place to stop and recharge when you're having a day on the river

The worst service. Was a very busy rush, which is understandable but what was not understandable is waiting over an hour for our food and the other waitresses being rude. We all got basic apps or burgers/salads as our meals and it's didn't come out until an hour and six minutes after we were seated. We saw parties bigger that ours get served faster and attended to quicker after getting there after us. Our server was apologetic and we were nice about to remain cordial but even the $7.80 comp that was offered on our $135 bill was literally taken away when we asked to split the bill between 3 parties. Food was decent for a brewery but save yourself the wait and headache and just got to the Italian or pizza place down the street. Awful awful awful

We came here on a bachelor party trip. The waiters were fun and friendly and the food was good. We had a great time.

Great service and food was not your ordinary bar food. Beer was, well awesome, as expected. Prices were definitely fair. We sat out back on large slabs of wood, coolVibe.

The beer flights are really good you can choose any beer for your flight. And great area and views of the mountains. Outside patio.
