Went with my husband to the stockdale location. Was not impressed at all. It was dirty, and smelled wierd. Front staff is unfriendly and has no sense of urgency to check people in at all! There is not enough seating and if you have to use the bathroom you will have to ask for a key because they keep them locked. Note: this is not a place where homeless or transients loiter so that can't be a reason bathrooms are not initially accessable.

I am so disappointed with Kern Radiology. I have been waiting for results and nothing. All I get is the run around of when my sons results will be ready. I was initially told that they were ready for pick up, when we get there, we come to find out they have yet to be looked at. The scheduling department is horrible, I absolutely hate it. I can't understand what they are telling me, and my concerns get lost in translation. I will say the care my son received was good. But other than that, it has been a complete headache to deal with Kern Radiology.

Came to get an ultrasound with my girlfriend and they said the baby was small so they opted a transvaginal ultrasound. Appointment was at 9:15am and we saw the ultrasound tech around 9:50am. They took my girlfriend in and finally called me to go look at the baby. I was in there for a good 5 minutes and she took tons of pictures. The ultrasound tech took the device out and we left on our way. My girlfriend and i went home and she began feeling discomfort. She checked and the ultrasound tech removed the device but left the plastic inside of her. I would call around before coming here.

I have always went to Kern Radiology for all my mammograms since its opening in Bakersfield. But when I called for my annual appointment I was not greeted by a local answering service but was routed to a call center. The person answering had broken english and was extremely rude. The background noise made it impossible to hear the operator. I asked if she was in Bakersfield or the United States, she said no we are a call center outside the states........I told her I was having a hard time hearing her, she said the call center had hundreds of operators and was sorry. When I went into Bahama's location, I told the receptionist about my experience trying to book an appointment. She said that the booking department was always local and was on the second floor of that location. But to save money the owners moved the process to an overseas operation.WTH! I feel so sorry for these local employees. The facilitys are over booked, ran down and its not the employees fault.I decided to move my business to Quest Imaging.Such a shame how Kern Radiology started out with local physicians opening a company to help to Bakersfield community, and now it has been sold and has been ran into ground. Very sad.

My appointment was for 9330 Stockdale Hwy and without notice or regard for my situation my appointment was moved to Brimhall Rd which is further out to a new creation of a women's center! Very unprofessional and then the nerve to not answer why I was moved without my consent was insulting at best saying it was cancelled in their system for Stockdale hwy and then erased why!!!! Stop the abuse of elderly and women's rights!!!I will further sent this complaint to the medical association, media and senators!I see men here for treatment as well but the door says "women's center". So disrespectful and unprofessional!!!!!!

They have canceled my appointment for a pet scan 4 times. I wait months for the scan only for them to cancel and reschedule for a month or two later. They don't even care that you are getting the scan because you have cancer and your doctor needs this test to decide how to proceed with your treatment. They are waiting until you don't even have a chance to recover from the cancer and will just die because they just kept putting your appointment off until it was to late for the treatments to be of any help. I'm giving them 1star but haven't even had my appointment yet and won't for another month and that's if they don't cancel and reschedule for another month or two.

They don't upload the authorizations timely. Last year I made an appointment and they turned me away because they supposedly didn't have the authorization. I had to make another appointment, (I had a broken bone!) come to find out the authorization had been approved. Well, I had an injury and made an appointment for a week after Dr visit due to waiting on the authorization so that I didn't get turned away again. I called my insurance the day before appointment and was told they authorized it on the same day they received it due to it being urgent but kern radiology said they hadn't received it but then they found it , they said it had been uploaded 5 days after the date it was authorized--my Drs office faxed it to them on the same day because it was urgent! So, why aren't they on top of their game? If it's urgent they should treat it as such, right?

Billing issues, we have 2 medical insurances, they do not know how to bill secondary insurance. Appwas 12/12/23, now they're getting ready to send me to collections. They said primary did not paid and secondary applied to deductible. I looked at my explanation and benefits primary applied deductible and secondary was asking for primary ins response, i have call and left messages in April, July, September and December no calls where ever returned now i finally got a biller and they told me a whole different story, first they said they bill our new ins that was effective Nov 2024, then thay ins that applied deductible wouldn't paid paid because we couldn't be found in their policy, ask for supervisor he was so lost as well, I call my ins and got the information when I call kern radiology back and ask for supervisor to tell him what my ins said, he was like that's not what we have from ins company when i ask to see what he has he told me no he cant do that he said he would have someone call ins company and he will call me back, when he did call me back he told me you know since is the holidays ins company is not answering i told yes they are i just call them before i call you, i had to give him all the information my ins gave me since they can't do it. I ask if him or his staff knew how to to their job, told me i was wrong, and that i was very sarcastic, i said no im not being sarcastic im frustrated and basically doing their job. As of right now balance is pending and i have ask for them to put a stop on collections. This is very unprofessional billing department.

About 3 weeks ago I had an urgent Renal Artery Ultrasound scheduled for sudden onset of uncontrolled hypertension. I have Cardiology and Nephrology consultations coming up and they're waiting on the Renal Artery Ultrasound Results. Just TODAY, my Primary Care Dr found out that Kern Radiology had the correct order but performed the WRONG ultrasound. They did a basic 8 min kidney ultrasound. I am a nurse and very angry about this. It is affecting the urgent treatment I need. DO NOT GO TO KERN RADIOLOGY!!!!!Also crowded and a long wait to get the WRONG ultrasound.

If i could give a minus I would. The scheduling department is completely ridiculous. I have tried to schedule my mother for a cervical MRI for 6 weeks. They have the dr. info.. I have given them ALL the details 6 times . They are outsourced scheduling. They do not understand english. They have to have ALL her health details everytime which takes 45 minutes. You cannot get an appt unless it is 8 am or 8-10 pm which doesn't work if you are 88. Never again. I love Kern Radiology when you get to the office but I will not deal with this customer service.
