Kern Motel

It's exactly what I expected for the price I paid and from the looks of the outside. Don't forget your Lysol bottle. Bring your own towels and sheets. You definitely get what you paid for!

Place is raggedy but what do you expect from a motel. Ac was nice and cold. I would recommend this place over the Isabella motel only because the Ac was cooler and it's a little cheaper. They have wifi but not so great. Cash only at this place.

I needed a place to stay for the night during winter. The heater in the room works great. Everything was very clean highly recommend.!

Totally worth the money. Can't expect more for 65$. Delivered as promised. If you are looking for some fancy place, you will be disappointed. The Kern Motel isn't a fancy place. The surroundings don't look like a vacationers paradise. The surrounding town actually looks a bit run down. The rooms here are super clean. The proprietor is a friendly guy that works really hard for his guests. It's quiet here. There must be a billion frogs and crickets singing their hearts out in the fields across the road... it's soothing. The bedding is always clean and the mattresses he uses are wonderful to lay down on (isn't that the point?). They're great on your back if you've been on your feet all day. The walls are solid and you can't hear the neighbors. Did I say it's quiet here? It doesn't sound like the Indianapolis 500 is going on outside when you're trying to fall asleep! If all you're looking for is a peaceful place to lay your head down and you're also looking for a good deal? This is your place! Cash only and don't bring your pets! After you're done paying for your room you'll have enough money left over out of one C note that you can pretty much afford to take your spouse out to dinner! You can't miss...

We stayed here on a quick stop from hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. It's across the street from Vons, Rite Aid and other other hikers friendly places. Michael, the owner, showed us the upmost respect and catered to us for our entire stay. Not only was he kind and accommodating but he even offered to drive us to our next stop! Highly recommended if you're in the area and need a place to crash.
