Kern County Superior Court

Today as I pulled into the court's parking I was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of people already lined up outside the door. However my mood was significantly improved as I noticed that the line seemed to shorten pretty quickly. I was helped by a young lady at window number 3 who offered quick service. She answered all my question in a very polite and professional manner. Thank you for your help today!

Worst court house you can attend. The staff here are so rude and unfriendly whispering rude remarks under their breath. The court room chairs are small. The judges are biased and very judgmental if you're not their kind.

The wait here and lack of explanation is beyond bad our appointment was for 1pm , was waiting for 2 hours and they have only called 2-3 people ,we drove from LA county to get here and have other matters to attend , what is the big hold up???????

I waited probably a lot longer than I needed to. The only reason I am leaving this review is because of how sweet the girl in Window 4 was. She definitely made the experience a lot better. If you read this, thank you. Your kindness was appreciated.

After driving my brother around Bakersfield trying to establish a court date he was finally advised to go to the Kern County Superior Court in Lamont. When we arrived at this court I assumed we would be greeted with the same rudeness as the other two court divisions we had previously visited. However, I was amazed at the wonderful customer service that was provided to us. The staff was very polite and helpful. Thanks to the ladies at window 2 my brother was finally able to get the help he needed. They were not only very professional but very helpful as well.

I see all these not so good reviews but i think they are more a personal thing. I have had to call them 3x now about my sons ticket and they have answered the phone within minutes and were always extremely helpful. Today Rev was the most helpful and gave me a little more info to go on for traffic school, so thank you!! even w a speeding ticket at "81" (which i found that to be an odd # ) but anyway i know my son will be cautious thru Lamont (anywhere really) to and from school from now on w this lesson learned as he drives the 5 often for the next few years.

I have such fond memories of this court. My dad was a PD here. It seemed like a big family, everybody took care of each other and their clients. My sister and I got speeding tickets the same weekend. The judge told us to be better drivers, gave us traffic school, and then we all went to lunch at El Jacalito's, the best Mexican food around.

They take a ridiculous amount of time to answer a phone. I understand they may get backed up but I've called the court house in San Diego a much bigger county and they were impressively diligent in answering compared to this court. I'm currently on hold and have been for the past hour and a half.

I have never seen a group of girls all collectively so dumb before. The girl at the security was on her phone the entire time. Each girl at the desk began our conversation with attitude. No one knows the answers to anything but they pretend and guess. They all go to their boss in the back, the only woman in the room who actually comprehends anything. You have a group of pretty women, each dumber than the next working at a court???

I've called 7 times in the past 2 hours, once a minute after they opened, with all calls ending with them claiming they have too high a call volume for you to stay on the line. If this is their way of trying to make sure you don't speed, I think it may be working.
