Decent place to take a walk or have a picnic but only if you're nearby. Don't travel out of your way to come here because it's not worth a long drive. You'll notice a few interesting plants, picnic tables and flat walking paths, most of which are short loops. The area was relatively clean with large restrooms that do not have running water but do have Purell hand sanitizer. There's a lot of dead trees and the canals are completely dry most of the year. The very fine dirt that's on all walking paths might be bothersome to some people. Your shoes will be completely covered in dirt. Don't leave valuables in your vehicle. The parking lot has no cameras, is on a secluded road and out of visitors view once you're on the walking paths. This makes it very easy to get away with smashing a window and taking valuables.

Really gorgeous nature walk in the town. We've come multiple times and each time. We love it more and more. There are often cows on the trail, but they are friendly and fun to see. This would be a great place to take pics!

Great discovery this afternoon. Never knew this place existed until recently moving back to Visalia and searching for things to do. I would definitely put this on your list of places to visit. Simple trails with cool scenery and really quiet. Dog friendly which is a plus, a decent picnic area with plenty of shade and the bathrooms were clean. I will be coming back!

Outstanding location for a easy hike, not too far from town either. When the air quality is good, you can get a nice view of the Sierra Nevada range.

This preserve is very pretty. Unfortunately when we went, there was no water anywhere--there were signs stating a recent drought, however, still very pretty! Very safe and nice easy walking. Great place for kids to explore and run. Bathrooms available as well!

Great place to enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. There are at least 3 trails to enjoy I believe and it's the go to place for lovely professional or amateur pictures. Be wary of the parking lot, and make sure that you lock up your car tight and do not leave valuables inside. They have had a problem with car break- ins in the past. Lovely place for a romantic picinc or some exercise.
